All I remember about this one is the cat and the fact they were flying downwards to rescue someone. Everything else is gobbledygook. Am I supposed to recognize that commander character or know what's going on with the MC being on autopilot? I like how they made the shadow magic stronger if there's more light, which is true other stories made the shadow magic strong in the dark which didn't make sense because if there's no light there isn't shadow. It would make sense if it's darkness magic but shadow and darkness are separate things.
