So I'm guessing this isn't one of those kings who was raised up through merit huh? Insanely short sighted and selfish to the point of retardation.

If killing is going to far, surely cutting off one hand would be fine. Prove that he's human and also that his actions has consequences since we already know promises from the fat man are worthless

Bunch of dumb f*cks, it would've been so much easier to kill the king and not deal with his scheming any longer...

I'm so tired of all these spineless MCs. Another series dropped because nobody suffers any consequences.

Godspeed to those who are still holding out o7
This is one of those circumstances where it's VERY hard to punish the bad guy. If MC kills the king, he is now immediately the enemy of the entire human nation, regardless of if he's in the right or not, and his friends are likely also in danger because of him. The only ones really able to punish the king in this circumstance is the prince and princess, which is likely (I hope) to be the next plotline. Gathering support to oust the king.
I completely agree that many MCs need to grow a spine, but committing regicide would do more harm than good

Need to do it later when there are fewer witnesses.
Why? We want them all to watch that shithead get his just desserts.

And this incompetence and emotional outburst is likely going to cause his quite imminent "retirement", allowing his far, far, far more reasonable son to take over. All without regicide which would make the entire kingdom and any of their allies to hunt down our main characters.

You gotta think about the big picture sometimes. The hero, DESPITE the kings horseshit, which he showed to the entire royal court and dozens of guards who will all DEFINITELY be talking about this, is still willing to serve the kingdom. The kings horseshit caused one of the heros friends to nearly kill the king, but was talked down by the prince, who kept calm the whole time, rather than throw multiple tantrums, go back on his promises (VERY bad if that gets back to any of the Kingdom's allies - if he broke his word to the heroes saving his kingdom and the world, he can't be trusted to keep ANY agreement)...

Basically, this king is going down, one way or another, either assassinated by members of the court, one of the kingdoms allies, or just being forced to abdicate to the prince and quietly banished somewhere.
The king has pulled exactly that sort of bullshit multiple times over already. He still has the full support of everyone in his court except the prince here (and maybe the princess) and has shown no signs of being ousted or even punished in any way whatsoever.

Kill the king, then prince ascends and he agrees to cover it up. Everyone in the room gets commanded by the new king to shut their mouths. Put out a story that the king died of a heart attack or something.

The current king has screwed them over repeatedly, and just going to keep doing that. Aside from that, he's hell bent on a war that is completely unnecessary and will just result in tons of deaths on both sides.

But the plot logic of this manga is bad from the beginning. Juvenile writing. (Though artwork is good and it nicely subverts the "kicked out" trope by having the other two summoned people be quite decent.)

Welp he broke his promise every time, whats wrong with your brain to expect him to just give up this time. Sigh.
And the hero thought MC was going too far? Hello? Where are your brain cells? You're just being mind controlled to kill your friends 🙄
I think it's time to go, I don't think I can continue to kill my IQ reading this series.

Should have gave the king a scar to remember him by or at least drawn a little blood to really emphasize that he can easily get to the king lol

king should be removed, forcibly retired at minimum.
if this is not remedied by next chapter, I'm dropping this.

Well for Hiroki at least it makes sense that he doesn't kill the king. If he do stays in this world, killing the king will most likely make him a forever wanted person, at least in this kingdom and the others that are allied to it (don't remember if there is any :wowee:).
Because being real here, even if Hiroki has all the rights to kill him, the king is a much more important figure in this world's society than him, and realistically his son (prince) would be pressed by the kingdom nobles to hunt Hiroki down, because what nobles wouldn't use that opportunity to say that a prince, now king, that don't retaliate to his father killer is weak and an unfit ruler?

Lusha would be made a forever fugitive too alongside Hiroki, they could verry well flee to Demon King realm but his friends journey for the remaining keys and secrets about summoning magic would be a dozen of times harder with the killing of the king.

And the Hero and co. could very well be just acting humble and meek to gain what they do want (less interference in their actions, as opposed if they kill the king), there is a thing called lying :p
So they pretend they're lowering their heads now so they can have less trouble finding the remaining keys and getting the fuck out of this world.

I know senseless retaliation is what most people here want to see because they are trying to vent their irl frustrations and relax, but sadly this isn't always the case in real scenarios.
Ask yourself: What are the chances the rebels (and killers of the ruler) of a previous government will be left at peace when a new party takes over?

For me, I think it's the monarchist allusions that irritate me the most. I agree that it's juvenile in its writing
I believe it's shounen, so that's my fault in reading this
, and that his life would be made into hell if he attempted the king's life, but at least give him a proper

attitude shift in regards to royalty
