Myne was supposed to be Karstedt's? (Knight Commander) adopted daughter as part of the original plan. Signing the contract in the black gem now makes her Sylvester's adopted daughter, who is the Duke/Ruler of that land, and Ferdinand's (High Priest) older brother. Sylvester is also a blood member of the Royal Family, nephew of the King I believe.

There should be around 5 more chapters left for the end of part 2. Volume 13 has been confirmed as the last volume for that part.

And if you want to binge read, the light novel is completed. The manga is likely to take more than 10-15 years before the last part is done.
