winged hussars never arrived, ottos pushed all the way up to Vienna, and threatened the HRE. Russia backstabs them, and then just continues where they left off, but because they're Christian there is no longer a feeling of "fight for Christianity" and so no crusades are called. Russia slowly dominates Europe, before a coalition of 5 nations: the French, the remaining HRE in Italy, the Hanseatic League (techncally part of HRE, but due to loss of much of Germany, forced to be independent), the Swedish, and the Spanish. The Russians aim straight for the jugular and take out the Burgundian line established by France, achieving a great victory at the battle of Frankfurt and ultimately collapsing the morale of the alliance. The British, long isolated from the continent, seize regions on the mainland, but are not able to avoid the newly born Republic of Russia's political influence causing a popular revolt and replacement of the absolutist monarchy with a Republic. The rest of Europe falls to Russian dominance, and now with no enemies in the west, they crush China upon first encounter, take down the Timurids, seize the Mamluks, and even take Japan and Korea. The Ming were splintered into over a dozen rump states, while Hokkaido was taken from Japan, but the nation actually centralized far more than it was before the invasion. The Timurids are demolished to restore Persia, as well as Russia imposing Christian faith upon India through force of arms, splintering the subcontinent into about 28 different states.
The FIRST GREAT RESISTANCE occurred in the year 1878, where after near 200 years of unquestioned Russian eominance, the British fleet sailed offensively and defeated the Russians at the Battle of Heligoland. This led to a war with the last remaining free nations (United States of Britain, Abyssinia, Portuguara, Ichima, Imerina, Maori, and Chimoria, as well as some native tribal remnants in North America) fighting against the Russian behemoth. The only nations to escape unscathed were Chimoria, Ichima, and Portuguara. Britain was forced to evacuate their colonies in mainland Africa and America, Abyssinia was completely subjugated, and the Maori forced to give up their northern island chains to the Japanese rump state. Imerina lost minor islands, such as modern day Reunion and Kergulen, to the Holy Order of Arabian Conversion to the True Faith, operating under Russian authority.
As the world's last hope goes out, the British are on the verge of total collapse, with an illegal but uncontested Russian blockade on British Jamaica and Cuba. Do they have one last Sally Forth in them? Will the Russian hegemony collapse on it's own? Or has Tsar Pyotyr finally accomplished what once only Alexander the Great had....

Jokes aside, it's just a repeat of V3 all over again.
The GFG rules over the forums -> most of them died -> new guys (us) ruled over the forums -> most of our little group dies -> new group slowly becoming more active
Want more info that supports this pattern? The GFG lasted for two years (2019 - 2021), and our little group lasted until 2023ish to 2025.
