It's still unclear if one class is over, or the whole schoolday is over.
Someone else in the comments wondered why they didn't just go to an empty classroom. Since they didn't do that, I assume the day isn't over yet.
And IIRC Japanese schools work similarly to here in the Philippines — the teachers go to the classrooms, instead of the opposite like the US does. The only exception is for lab. No time at all to find an empty classroom or they're not empty yet.
