Damn, the fact that honami consciously fights against whatever is compelling her to possess and yet it refuses to let her back out is really really unnerving. Even she seems to be in shock over it.

nobody has talked about it, but i find it interesting that michi is an unreliable narrator regarding her abilities. in the extra with honda’s “about yourself” forms, she describes herself as having nothing she’s good at, but every time we see her do a physical activity (besides drawing?) she seems exceptionally good at it

given karasuma’s exorcism method is essentially a form of physically fighting and she knows michi personally, this could lend credence to the idea that she was an exorcist and the reason she undervalues her abilities is because she doesn’t have memories of using/training them, beyond just having low self esteem

This is a good catch; I knew something felt off about her negative self-esteem, but she did indeed have the football scene earlier establishing her as exceptionally physically capable and coordinated. As usual, the answer likely lies in her repressed memories, given how the other exorcist could see a version of Michi's past self looming behind her like a ghost of the past.
