its probably just me since battan tends to make their love interest characters all mysterious & alluring but i don’t really get why this editor is such a big deal lmao sorry

like yea shes praising you & giving skinship but its pretty clear shes kinda only doing that so you’ll work your ass off on your manga or wtv is it really that big of a deal that yall have to fight over her?

also i find the mc kinda boring in comparison to the other short haired mangaka who at least seems to have some healthy mistrust of the editor lady, even if she still ends up going with it

pls can these mangaka go touch some grass or maybe some boobies? do a cameo in that “asami chan is interested in lesbian brothels” manga, get it out your system girl stop falling for red flags

The point here is she's love bombing them, and that's not good, even if it's for the sake of their manga (and her hidden agenda).

Moreover, for now, we are only talking about mangaka, people who tends to isolate their self to do their job, and so tends to don't have many social skills. And they may even have depression, social anxiety, or just anxiety, have been bullied by others, self deprecating their self, and don't have a lot of experience in romance and relationships.

So if some beautiful, sexy woman came out of nowhere, tell them they are the best in the world, they can do so much better, and they have some hidden talents that others don't have, and she can even be in some kind of relationship with them (kiss, hug, even sleep with them; she didn't mind doing it with the MC) all of that for the sake of their mangas…

Plenty of people would fall into this dependable/toxic relationship. But at the second she ignores you (I think it's the case with the dude we see at the end), everything falls. Your morals, your self-esteem, the quality of your works, everything… So no, she's no good.

perhaps bc this one has the addition of a work relationship involved as well; i've been mega depressos, isolated myself, avoidant etc. and if some random hot lady had come up to me and she was my EDITOR, i would be even more suspicious of her motives bc why would she be wanting me LMAO; i just want some push back from the MC ig tho im sure we'll see it later on, prob shes still in the f around f out phase

In the first chapter, the MC was totally wary about her, always comparing her with her ex-editor, not leaving her some personal space, being too intrusive.

But if you are not prepare to confront this type of person (the MC is clearly not), you will eventually fall for it. And this type of person know their way in and can be REALLY persistent.

And I'm pretty sure the MC, and people who encounter this kind of person, can't tell at what time she started liking her.

But yeah, eventually she will awake from this loving phase and start questioning things.

I'm starting to suspect Futami is not a human making all her mangaka falling for her or rather obsessing her affection, she's so good catching someone's attention aside her sweet words there's a spell casts that every person sees her she sparkles like a diamond. The author of this series never fails for bi women, sometimes toxic.

There's no actual confirmation of the editor's sexuality yet, only that she's happy to get her hands dirty with anyone if it means "reaching the top of the rankings." Given chapter one I suspect it's more about getting the attention of her mother than accomplishing something for herself or caring about any of the authors.
