oh, ok. I started reading the official translations back in 2021 and the releases have been consistent so I had no reason to check if the series was canceled or not.

He…uh…said some anti-china and anti-south korea shit back then, which got him cancelled hard in japan. Also cancelled the Nidome anime, and the Nidome manga was on hiatus before being forced into an axe arc to close off. This one was affected less because it’s less popular, but it did go for a brief hiatus back then.

Everytime i read this manga, i wish this got axed instead of Nidome because that one has better writing, and this one’s such a slog to read so far with the MC getting fucked this constantly.

Unfortunate that LN writing means that they just can't keep a tense situation without writing in some jokes, making it feel like the tension swings from high to low panel-by-panel

Seeing Lapis switch in manga is so satisfying. The LN is a fun read, but actually seeing the change in her face is a different experience. Thanks for the TL! Cant wait for the next chapter

I went ahead and reread this series since a translator posted up the missing chapter. Man I really want to know what’s causing this.

All speculation, but it seems like some kind of wide area curse that drains magic power…? Or some kind of vitality? We see the people who pass away just losing energy, will, etc. until they just basically don’t move anymore and die looking gaunt. I’m curious about the fact that it first affected the adventurers riding with the little girl client, which is how the suspicion about her started.

Honestly it’s been so long that I don’t mind spoilers on this.

I've been doing the translations since ch24, but I've not had any time since March to work on low priority stuff, so don't hold your breath waiting for the next chapter.
