Sure, that's just your opinion. In my opinion, this guy is a sniper with low quality translations and no clear commitment to any series, targeting series that don't need it. There are plenty of abandoned series that have no active translators, Mangadex or otherwise. Or alternatively, if the desire to snipe is strong, go snipe GDS, Utoon, or Philia Scans mangas, groups that have absurd paywall and/or censorship BS.

they have hahaha, not neccesarily in r/manga, at least I used it in the past, at the time before mangadex revival and sometimes you can find new series.

I just dont know whats with the snipe issue? The Chiyou Mahou manga has also got a new translator because of Soseki dmca issue. This is basically the same with it. But as i saw the forums there no one really cared much about the issue with them.

it's specifically annoying here cause the new person decided to just not do 105 despite 105 not being on mangadex. So there's a gap that annoys people, and sniping that wasn't even done well to warrant being "forgiven" by the more lax "anti-sniper" group, so more people annoyed than if they just redid 105.

There is also the after credits which prove they know the soseki has worked on something after the 5 months ago of 104, which was ch.105, uploaded early july, so the scanlator calling it abandonned so soon makes the sniping topic prop up. And this situation also just feel wrong + this group has a history (short one, but existing one) of just sniping like 5 series so far, and only one did they release a second chapter (tho apparently they said something like "i'll wait for full chapters" and still posted a part chapter anyway lmao. I say apparently cause i only read the comments since im behind on that series (the dragon one))

If you haven't turned to other sites since the DMCA takedowns then you're probably missing out on a lot of manga. At least 1/4 of the manga I read are no longer updated on Mangadex.

Sorta dead in mangadex, they stopped uploading here after the dmca (lv2 kara, isekai harem and some of their other stuff have updates somewhere else, but not here), but they always been kinda slow anyway lol

I barely come here anymore for my main reads. Stuff I really like, I go to other sites...or check to see if the original scanlator is still doin it

ComicK.io is what I use. It has the "scrape everything" model that most other aggregator sites use but isn't as ad infested. I've also started using Suwayomi to track and download onto my desktop so that I won't lose previous work if takedowns happen and I can easily migrate if needed.
