Mamu is somewhat disconnected from her peers, it's not necessarily anyone's fault, but she can relax around Fujiyama. Being a dog is a pretty good description, but Fujiyama also gets to play a quasi-motherly(or big sistery) role that Mamu probably isn't used to, considering her upbringing.

The only thing Meria is right about is that Fujiyama is kinda dependent on Mamu.

What no one is aware of (not even Fujiyama herself) is that Fujiyama ends up being the big sister that Mamu wants/needs. Mamu gets to be an ordinary girl when around Fujiyama.

In all seriousness it's more than that though right? As we saw during the childification a few chapters back and throughout the series, Fujiyama is herself pretty genuinely innocent at heart. She's managed to get some bits of adult perspective sure, but she's also completely genuinely into things like Fuwafuwa that Mamu likes too. It's not merely that she doesn't pry into Mamu's life, she's happy to be an active part of it (at least, her personal life). A lot of the comedy of course is someone like that getting roped into an evil organization! But they've got a true unlikely friendship going on.

But yeah, I'm surprised that Mamu actually called Fujiyama wonderful (I'm guessing suteki in JP). I don't think she's ever outright praised her neighbor before. Well, maybe it's because nobody Fujiyama up when she wasn't around, making it appropriate to throw in a compliment. It feels like a bit of the veil over why Mamu is so nice to Fujiyama has been lifted... though "wonderful" still doesn't make it 100% clear. If it's just Mamu's maternal instincts somehow being tickled, I'd be okay with it, but I feel like it'd be nice if the author did something interesting with this plot point.

Thing is,Fuijiyama is trying to pry into Mamus' life to gain a weakness over her,due to said evil organisation.

She's also fakin' it 'till ya make it when it comes to be reliable,but her desire to ensure Mamus' happiness is definitely the thing that Mamu is most happy about,even if her whole body becomes visible for the news at five.

It'd be interesting to see if this leads to Mamu actually joining the evil side,bringing Meria and the newbie darkling side,and causing the dream team of evil to actually win.
