You fail to see the fallacy in his thinking, and how he has not reaffirmed his own resovle to do the ONLY thing that has ever worked for him in his entire life.
And somehow his newly revised instinct isn't to create distance, the thing that has worked so well for him in the past, but to immediately fold into a submissive position on MULTIPLE occassions!

Your brain is still wired on the first line of the script: "bad things happen", therefore your automatic, rehersed response is: "must get vengeance!"
And you put yourself through that pathetic cycle over and over, because your small mind is already at its limit and is incapable of thinking past that. Even for one... single... fucking second
