Honestly, I seriously doubt that Ao is actually dead. It feels more like another bait from the author to set up a twist, like when Nezumi stabbed Ao in the neck and everyone thought he was dead, but he miraculously survived. Making him survive a stab only to later be decapitated offscreen, shown in a poorly filmed video where we only see pieces, doesn’t make much sense. Even if the intention was to shock, the scene has no impact because I’m already completely numb to this story.

I think it’s probably a scheme between the doctor and Petro. The doctor told Petro that Ao still had things to accomplish before dying. But let’s say he really is dead now. Do I care? Not at all. The author missed the chance to make his death truly meaningful when Nezumi stabbed him in the neck. At that moment, his death would have been genuinely shocking, and for me it was, until it was revealed that he survived.

Thanks for the chapter!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, just kill butama I don’t give a shit about him. Reveal Ao is alive so they can have a happy ending and end this, we are reaching a dangerous level of drag out. And unlike something like Koroshi Ai there isn’t some fun side character I can enjoy.

Well it is called nezumis first love, dunno if it means it’s close to ending but wonder how diff it’d be if it had been a runaway series of Nezumi killing people at the start (honestly I’m surprised that pig boss was even allowed to watch the vid in his current state unless they were trying to trigger his memory )

just saying- I want Nezumi to get rid of them all. If not then kill, run away, and then find a new love. Just not the kiddly diddler or Peter

Man :fml: I see y’all are thinking that Ao is actually alive, but that would be the easy answer, maybe he’s really dead…
The yakuza dudes really think pissing off the living weapon is a good idea?
She was motivated before, now her reason to fight is dead, and if it’s true that means the Yakuza chief lied to her. This plus the fact that she is the murderer, i don’t see her still going at it.
Tho that would mean that the giant peace of shit won and I really hope it’s not the case :haa:

We're almost 10 chapters into this boat ride and I have been losing more and more interest in this story as time goes on. I feel like there was no need to make the yakuza plot this big in scale or drag it for this long? I know yakuza business is integral to Nezumi's situation but the smaller scale it had at the start was a perfect sweet spot for it imo.

Now it feels like I'm simply watching a B-tier yakuza movie with death and explosions for the sake of it, which just so happens to have a side romance.

The disjointed narrative with Petro's side also really irked me, I don't see why the author dragged it for as long as they did, and why that had to tie into this massive yakuza war to begin with when a simple revenge plot would have sufficed.

The whole thing revolves around the fat pedo too which is kinda crazy to me as a choice and I bet it won't have any reasonable justification other than it being extra edgy that way. And the worst part is that we still don't know much of why this is all going on, only that this fat douche is somehow a crucial piece.

This story had a lot more punch when we were up close and personal with the characters and the tragic stuff that happened to them. I couldn't give two craps about this all out war and hope it's over soon.

I think the only way this could still be interesting is if this is actually all a plot by Ao to get revenge after learning about his sister (told to him in the meeting between him, doc and Peter we saw before).
But like.. I dont want to find out? Might check back in when it's finished but reading as it comes out seems such a drag right now.

I'm less shocked than when she stabbed him, but still somewhat mortified. I do think it's the nature of this story to assault you with brutal imagery until you don't even think twice about it, but I'm wondering if it's because of that I don't think he's dead? Yeah, usually, if the character isn't in the room watching it all go down, it didn't happen (and they didn't let us see in the bag 🙄) and they already had a stinger death with Midori. Still, they say this is a "hatsukoi" for Nezumi, and Ao has been through so much. I don't know how long this story can keep going like this, so I'm wondering if it'll end in another 30ish chapters.
