I just went onto Utoon.net (A different scan group's website, I think) and it seems like they may be trying to snipe this series from Hunlight.

what if he is now stuck in a loop where the world outside the castle resets every time he wins or loses in his conquest

so.... overlord alter? i mean fuck it ill give it a shot
Seems a little unfair of a comparison just because they use the name Overlord.

Or should we also bring up the porn game of the same name?

Or the two Playstation games with Picman minions.

Aside from the name(which isn't actually the same because that one was overlord in kana and this one is haou) they both have a guy getting sent to a new world with his loyal army.

As far as confirmed differences go, this guy isn't living in the past obsessed with the friends he used to have and convinced that nothing can ever match the good old days. It also doesn't seem he's worried about acting out of character. Since these guys aren't written as monsters, they probably won't be doing stuff for the evuls, though whether that is a positive or a negative is a matter of taste.

No solid indication how it will progress, so we can't really make any comparisons from the first chapter.

Mc transferred into game world filled with npcs he/his guild had created and designed, into his own base.

Instead of being in the game world, the home base gets transferred to yet another world

Mc top tier player in said game and now with high powered npcs and gear has to find his way through unknown world

Its 90% the same premise?
Its not even a dig at the series, just a very easy observation

"Ugh I'm tired, time to play games!"
"Whoah, where am I!?"

While it's a good thing that isekai's have become such a well known setup that we can skip the intro and immediately dive into the new world, there is something about this particular intro that feels particularly lazy.
A good thing?

Regardless of your feelings about the isekai genre as a whole, I think being able to quickly start the story without having to tread the same old ground of 'whoah, I'm in a new world? B-b-but how!?' is good, especially if it's not particularly integral to the story.

We don't need to see batman's parents dying, or superman falling from space, in every movie they appear in - we all know their origin stories now, and it'd be tedious otherwise.
Likewise, we don't need a reason for a normal person to be 'isekai'd' in these stories now, we all know the setup.

Everyone says Overlord but there's quite a few manga/LN with the same premise (MC gets isekai'd into his kingdom-building game which itself is isekai'd into a different fantasy world). Most aren't as ruthless as Overlord though and usually, the MC tries to have a good relationship with other existing kingdoms.

Listen I never call something a copy because when it comes to stories it mostly how it's spun not the actual base
but you couldn't have changed something? Overlords premise was way better considering all the npcs were made by different people putting doubt into momongas mind about they're loyalty and having very distinct personalities and quirks from their creators this is just like a 1/4th of the potential already but hey let's see

Overlord but human nation/guild instead of monster. Unless the other resident is other race or have severe distrust of human then it will be very run on the mill isekai story. I wont expect much from it but the art is nice so will keep watching it with low/no expectation so I won't be disappointed.

This attitude is exactly why we get fed the same old slop for 10 years

Righto. No matter how cool and original the isekai story and world is, we have to sit around reading the same tired intro sequence, because it'd be slop otherwise, got it.

We could have the protag simply say "whoah, I've been isekai'd!" and start the story, but why do that when we can spend ten to twenty pages meandering at the beginning, despite the audience knowing what an isekai is from cultural osmosis.

I love watching ANOTHER interpretation of Spiderman's origin story, it NEVER gets old! I clap every time!!
I love reading about Truck-kun taking another victim over and over again!!
It's slop unless it has my repetitious slop intro, right buddy?
