Romeo and Juliet were the from the "middle" ages and they were absolutely characterized as children.( Like teen children, not make up your own mind independent adult)

TBF, Romeo and Juliet was also a cautionary tale about the dangers of impulsive young love. It's not as if both weren't still a thing though where you could still be treated as a kid, but they stress the importance of those topics regardless. (As at that age, you were also usually expected to either be helping out your parents with their work, or have begun an apprenticeship, or some other means of helping provide for the family)

Let me correct this a bit, MTL is really not the gospel. In the web novel it's 48 dead, 152 seriously injured, 207 missing, (summoned), but the number of summoned people may be different because of Light Novel changes (manga adapted two LN volumes then switched to WN). And yes, the mother stabbed the father over his love affair, then someone impersonated Kento, the dad didn't know how to tell Kento what happened so took a while to verify the identity.I couldn't wait and look in to the raws.. If you really can't wait, we're at chapter 91 in the novel.
Kento is 16, he just looks younger.

You should be careful, many people believe anything if it's under a spoiler tag. You make it sound like we see Kento's dad but we don't, not until the 700s of novel chapters where there are no lasting effects from being stabbed.
But this is why it's good the release of 53.1 is being delayed, the comments would all be people asking what the f is going on with the cliffhanger, and half the answers would be misleading, when the full answers are in 53.2.

He had mentioned before that his relationship with his parents wasn't really good, im guessing they didn't really care to much about him and just provided his necessities food, clothes etc so coming back to find out they already got rid of all his things after only 2 months left him heart broken. but we also don't know if time flows different in both worlds 2 months in volzard may very well have been a couple years on earth but that just my speculation
