...this is a fantastic manga/LN... but man, I wish that when intentionally dislikeable characters are used, they aren't ALWAYS stupid as their "negative trait." I'd love smart characters who are problem-causing due to greed, envy, evil psychopathy, or whatever. But ugh, stupid teammates AND stupid enemies.... they feel even more annoying than cockroach villains.

This is all Mizuha's fault, undermining Katsuya's authority, when she should have threatened this bitch to get in line or be kicked out of the operation as a liability. Drankam is infected with spoiled brats, and that is directly the fault of the new managers like Mizuha, reinforcing bad behavior. If Akira had been put into Drankam instead of picked up by Alpha, he would have been gotten killed by them for sure.

Mizuha caused this due to greed. She wants things to brag about in advertising campaigns, to boost her own career.

Akira eventually gets assigned a talent agent of sorts by the Hunter's Office, and it's hilarious how much she digs her own grave for career advancement.

Oh no, the obviously unstable and prone to acting against orders individual acted against orders and is currently attempting some unsound stunt? If only we'd seen the signs, we could've taken her off the mission sooner. Alas. A shame the rest of her team is as stupid as her, otherwise they would've given her a deserter's, uh, just deserts, and shot her in the back of the head the moment that order came in.

Honestly, the stupid only comes out when Katsuya is involved. Just about every hunter is normally level-headed and risk-averse.

Drankam's young hunters are taught to be stupid, given equipment above their skill level and undeserved praise. Reina was originally like that but she develops out of it. Togami got a reality check some chapters back as well.

This one isn't really on him this time, the lady from the previous chapter tried to paint a really awful image of being looked down on to try and fire her up, probably on purpose since she's obviously super manipulative. He does fear they may be putting themselves in danger and he can't do anything to help, and cause their deaths, but this time she's the one who acted out purely to prove him wrong, enticed by the office lady's words.

The plot point will be justified with Katsuya having AI latched onto him causing others around him to suddenly get -100 pts on INT stat
