NGL, some have a point. I mean how many harems have you read where the central figure keeps getting a new love intrest every few chapters.

Don't get me wrong, I like a little verity when it comes to sidedishes, but in a semi-serous drama or action manga it just becomes a chore to keep them all straight.

And then there is the constant infighting, cockblocking, blueballing, and general demeaning attitude twords these one dimensional characters that profess their undying love for a character that show next to no emotion other then kind indifference...

So yeah... Some of my favorite manga are are battle harem or erotica, but there are some truely deeply flawed stories out there as well. YMMV, and all that jazz.

I had this kind of expeirence when I was minorly acquianted with a pair of twins back in my college days. I've encountered one of them a year after our graduation, and we had a nice but inconsequential chat the way you would have with someone you're minorly acuqianted with, and for the duration of it, I was doing my best to not let it slip that I don't know which one of the twins he was.

I can relate. I was in the same class with identical twins for eight years. Five years after graduating I met one of them again by coincidence. I had a hunch of course, but I wasn't certain which one I was talking to. I guess she noticed after awhile that I was fumbling about and not adressing her by name, so she threw me a bone and casually dropped her sister's name.

In middle school there was a set of twins who I only shared classes with ONE of them... but I'd interact with both every so often. I already had issues with recognizing faces so I started just calling them both by their last name. I did not want to admit I only technically recognized one outside of classes because he was a jackass, the jackass I had to endure because we were both honors class kids.
I can't be wrong if I only use the last name for both is what I figured.

In my experience differentiate identical twin, they always have one thing that different. I met at least 4 twins since middle school to high school, one thing that spot them on quickly is the face, if one has mellow gentle face then the other has this serious face. If one has this thug like face, the twin has this babyface one. Sometime their upbringing can differentiate them if they aren't always in the same environment (not going to same school). My friend in univ is a twin, i haven't seen the other twin, but my friend who had said the other twin is more masculine pious looking one while the one in my class has more feminine demeanor.

However, if you still find a hard time telling them apart, just ask them directly. They will gladly tell you. Just be polite when asking about it.

I can only hope he only ever sees them as, like, good friends, or maybe even little sisters(not in the siscon way). This story is too good and unique to be tainted by pedophilia and the such. I don't really want romance in this. I'd much rather he go for the elf if he has to. She's a better romantic prospect in terms of age and maturity

I remembered the number 15 but in chapter 8 they just mention that they can drink alcohol because you're considered an adult at 15. So they could be older I guess but this still implies they are quite young.

O I ain't saying there isn't shit writing in harem... but that goes for any genre if we're being honest here.

I'm purely talking about those who hate harem full stop. Yet they read shit with multiple LIs...

And potentially because they read that as well, we get shitty endings where it's just one girl instead of an actual harem ending. (I don't know which came first tho, is possibly a chick and the egg scenario).

When for a lot of these stories, not having harem makes zero sense.

And I'm not talking the school wimp who magically gets all these girls falling for him, those stories I find just as dumb as the people who hate on harem but always seem to read harem.

I'm talking a capable MC that actually has the qualities where it makes sense. What's equally stupid to those who hate harem but always read harem, is harem-bait, where they have such a character, and even have it normal in that setting... but don't. Literally written for no one.
