I'm confused about this. He doesn't seem to want kids yet doesn't mind them. I think it's more of the act of sex that seems to scare him. He didn't care when his step-daughter had her strap falling on her shoulder too

Can anyone explain the significance of her switching from calling him Dad to Papa? My first guess was that the latter is more something a wife would use to refer to her husband affectionately, but I’m unsure of this.

i assuming ex husband/dad was invited to what ever the plan both mother and daughter planning but rejected it. basically he fumbled.

now both a mother and daughter agree to find better "papa" for their twisted plan. but the ex husband changes his mind and willing to commit to the plan but ofc the mother is already married to MC. so he sent mixed messages to make MC divorce his wife and married with his co-workers instead or anything. because he wanted to return to his ex wife and daughter.

unfortunately the mother and daughter didn't want that, to them, MC is better choice and plan already set up.

maybe the step daughter meeting with ex husband/ father and see that they needs to hasten the plan by telling that the mother is ready to having a child.

isn't it more 'intimate'? like saying dad versus daddy...or maybe something ppl say as congratulations for pregnancies/new fathers...weird for the tagline to point it out as something to focus on b/c she's said 'papa' before.

in the west i think we'd associate it with more like southerner talk but i don't think i've heard anyone call their father "papa" lol
(tho i live in tx so hearing ppl say that might make ppl think of potatoes/fries)

even without that guy being connected to touko and her mom kinda weird to say "why not remarry with your coworker" esp if he's still already married as opposed to divorced/separated

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the art style, but Touko looks like she has yandere eyes when she asks 'Papa' if he's happy.

This manga is so insufferable at times. What fucking happened to give him that unnerved face at the end? NOTHING! From his perspective, here's how the day went:

• Went to work, boring day with little to note.
• Had a very odd meeting with a client discussing some very odd subjects that were rather inappropriate to the business
• Embarrassed in front of my junior who covered for me in that meeting, after I told her I'd take charge.
• Came home to my wife and step-daughter, preparing dinner in a good mood. It made me smile, happy to see them. Plus, cake!
• They heard from the doctor that my wife is cleared to have children again! I am hesitant about this, for reasons I can't really put my finger on
• My step daughter called me "Papa" in front of my wife, which she normally doesn't.
• My wife would prefer a boy, they asked me which gender of baby I would prefer.
• BWAAAA CLOSE UP ON FACE, ANXIOUS AND UNNERVED EXPRESSION

Nothing happened! Nothing! Just because we the reader know some shit is happening doesn't mean the main character should have that expression unless he's reading it right along with us!

what's the deal with that previous dad?? I'm having a hard time imagining that he was facing the exact same scheme as the MC is facing right now, knowing that the daugther was barely a middle schooler back then and most likely even younger than that prior to the initial step of the scheme.

Somehow ...I can bet he did try SA the daughter last time ...or at least he got baited to do it

And somehow it didn't happen and now he want it for real
