Revenge things usually either go off the super cringe, excessive and exxagerated revenge story (say, Redo healer) or end up being just unsatisfactory.

One bad thing is that as usual the super strong MC get exiled for retarded reasons. No sane nation would squander such an important resource as a heroic, super strong commander.

I just hope the MC will end up being happy, I don't care about retribution...

Historically, marrying children was almost exclusively for political reasons. Even back then it was unusual to marry a girl that young - especially if the man was significantly older than her. I'm not saying it didn't happen, just that it was a lot less common than people seem to believe.
