We get title drop moment during her reflecting on this loss.
Out of the things she got to improve herself:
Magic Eye/Evil Eye - detect anything with MP within certain range, so she can 'see' even with her eyes closed. This is to make up for the poor eyesight trait.
Feather Gatling - fire feathers from her wing
Dark Implosion - make a sphere, delete.
A magic skill that let her cast without having to voice it.

Gil was shocked to see her not only back so quickly, but seemingly even more powerful (more wings)
Wayne think that the event wasn't 'calamity subjugation' as they thought, but rather it's 'calamity reveal' event and it's basically unwinnable fight so he want to focus more on gathering intel.
The knights arrive as reinforcement, but quickly get wiped by Rare as she test out those new skills she got.

Right after giving Wayne a 'shoot the messenger' treatment (tell him to pass on to the others that she'll eventually kill them too, then kill him) her subordinates finally revive.

She tell the beast girls to keep working towards the volcano, then turn back to her current target: the capital.

First she summon more of the skeletons (Adaman) to hunt down inns in the capital, because that's players' respawn point.
Then she summon Sieg to lead them.
Sieg then ask for permission to summon more skeletons.
To her surprise, Dias suddenly shows up.

Sieg and Dias explains that they had him cover a skeleton as Sieg summon them, so for that short moment Dias was treated as an item and summoned along with the skeleton.

Amused by the high quality of 'AI' to make individual decisions like this, Rare ask the two to join her in taking the castle.

Oh wow, attacking the players' respawn point is definitely going to raise complaints to the dev team! Does Rare get nerfed or revealed to be a player by the devs at any point in the story?

Haha no, if the raid party has been dismissed and only 3 of them are left, this isn't a worthy hunt. Just leave a message with them or something.
3 players won't give good exp anyway.

Seems a bit unfair to the other players to just resummon a boss like this. I get that this is a “girlboss” moment but if she wasn’t the main character, I would be pretty miffed.

She's not a boss. She's a player character just like everyone else. If the raid group that went to fight her were smart, or went all in, they could have reset their respawn points to the capital and attempted to graveyard zerg her. But they didn't.

In any case, there are no differences between NPCs and PCs except the former cannot receive system messages. That's the point that's been hammered from the very beginning.

The entire event has always been destroy towns, or protect the towns. Destroying the respawn points is just part and parcel of having the territory lost to the monster realms.
The devs have never at any point said that Leah is a boss NPC. They haven't even said anything about her. It's the players who jumped to the conclusion that she's a NPC, and a raid boss at that.

It's unfair alright. Imagine a Lv.80 player going to a Lv.20 area and start PK'ing left and right, then a group of players finally killed him. But not a moment after, he comes back to PK again.

I would uninstall the game right then and there.

She is blocking out the sun with magic at her location to avoid this very thing, that's why Wayne sees the sky darken before she returns.

She is,by all metrics,just another player,so her having the same one hour respawn plus penalty skip is normal.

She just happened to min max EXP gain to the point she can finish off folks who were not expecting her.

Probably too soon to retry the grand invasion,but definitely enough for the lass to overcome her hurt ass.

the event probably just ended, cause they already killed the boss (Rare) once

Fantastic. Been waiting for this part.

Shame they didn't visually represent the shockwave from the wn that her wings caused due to flying back there so fast, but she looks AMAZING so not gonna complain.

At least they replaced the sonic boom entrance with a proper dark weather of doom entrance.

She's done something in the time in between... 3 pairs of wings suddenly, instead just the one......

Won't dispel the misconception she's an NPC Boss.... They'll just assume she had a third form they hadn't accounted for....

After all... Raid Bosses thrive on form/mechanics changes during the battle...
And the most difficult ones have a delay between the early forms, and the final form ( ominous music optional) to give the players a slight breather before Mayhem Happens.

the new Rare in the last panel is her declaration that she's done hoarding exp points.
That made her return much more epic, and cemented her role in the game as the "Last Boss"
