Can a mod delete EVERYTHING of mine please

I have a stalker I am afraid will find my stuff and I need everything of mine on this site gone ASAP. Every comment, everything. I dont know what to do. I privated my profile, I cant hide my comments because you can just search by username.

They are not on here yet nor have they messaged me but I do not want them to find this AT ALL.

Unfortunately the account deletion option is unavailable at the moment since it affects the site. Here's a staff message below on Discord on the matter:

It's a bit late for you to learn this now, but the internet is forever. It's best to keep IRL stuff and your online presence completely separate. Never reuse a username that can be associated with your personal life.

It's not just MangaDex. You also can't trust the big tech companies to ever voluntarily give up the goldmine of personal data they've gathered about you. In some countries, you might have a right to be forgotten or right of erasure but you'll probably have to go through a tedious legal process and divulge even more personal information if you are to attempt to exercise such right and you'll never know if your data was actually erased or just moved to the secret folder where it will still be sold to data brokers and might still get leaked in the future.

Practice the appropriate level of OPSEC from day 1. It's not like you have to pull out all the stops for a MangaDex profile, but using a different username, picture, and e-mail address than your personal life is a good step to protect your privacy.

If it’s old enough you can’t. And it still shows what I commented on. Ig I could change every one of my recent comments to a rule break en-masse so but Idk if that would actually delete it. or if they would keep it up with my username to shame me ://

the thing is that it is stuff from when I was underage. I have had this account for 5 years. I didnt know shit about stuff back then. what it is connected to is also over 5 years old from when i was underage.

Unless you were posting,

A) Illegal porn of yourself

or

B) Real life information that could dox yourself

I would just randomize your account password to a 128 character string of random letters/numbers/special characters and walk away from the account forever. Constantly adding recent comments to it just proves you still use it and would give them incentive to actually examine all of your old posts.

If you think the stalker is a credible threat don't beg the mods here for help, file a report with the police and provide them proof of the stalker's actions. Give them usernames and copies of the messages that they used to stalk you with. If the stalker is engaging you because they think you're still underage definitely tell the police that, catching child predators are a priority for them because it's good PR.

Well if you have the same username on platforms outside of mangadex I would recommend changing it on them. (I was going to suggest here but I can't find a way to do that). And asHDMI1 said change the password on it, then ditch the account if it bothers you that much.

Most people have funky memory so if they don't see you currently with the same username on all platforms they will be unlikely to find you on certain sites. And unlikely to be able to associate you with it even if they happen across these comments of yours. And as Koneko said. This will be a lesson to have personal and private stuff completely separated lol. Honestly I don't use my real name or even self on any social media or website period. I used to have some bad stalker problems too and it gets exhausting. People be crazy man and the internet emboldens them.
