Quite ironic that lemon of all people is calling someone dense. The same person who didnt realize that she was standing in for sunao during his date not to long ago.
Also, correct me if im wrong, but didnt she audibly insist that she and sunao are just friends and that there is nothing between them? Did she ever say anything to insinuate that this outing ismore than two long time friends hanging out?
Ad even despite all that somehow suano can intuit that maybe lemon sees this is as a date, honestly i think he should be tedted for psychic poswers rarher thatn be called dense.

That response was a pure 'panic choke.' Is Sunao going to get up tomorrow, walk into the kitchen, and be like "Hey, Kogahara, did Lemon tell you about the book fair we went to yesterday?"

Lemon lying while simultaneously not making it clear to Sunao that this was romantic. Yeah in NO WAY is this gonna come back to haunt her. I do agree that she needs to let him go and if he comes back of his own accord then he’s yours. Double backing behind Kogahara is nasty work. This is supposed to be her friend by the way.

Entire story is HIGHLY conflict averse so i don't think even for a second that this will have any lasting consequences. Though girls would tear each other from limb to limb in real life if something like this was outed. Ex girlfriend of the guy you sorta on the fence about lying to your face about hanging out with him while telling you that you are nothing more than friends now? That friendship is done. But in this case, Natsumi will probably just silently check out (she is not that invested to begin with) because author's OTP is obviously Lemon and Sunao. He had almost 90 chapters to convince the readers but that what happens when you start your story with such a retarded premise like this one and could not explain it in any meaningful way after ignoring it for like %90 of it..
