Bai ji was always the mc apparently Ji Bai was only introduce as a setup but it been this way since the merge to become Bai Jin or when Bai Ji regain Solyanda memories this was when Ji Bai is truly gone, also fun fact Split Personality is never a thing in the Web Novel from what I heard haven’t confirm it yet except hints that it didn’t exist, Split personality is manga exclusive

I think Ociansiam is the only person here that has some clue what is going on, so you are in good company. But the essential dummied down version is that she is trying to become a god to defeat evil gods. and the big bad god is the sin lord.

What do you mean? By that Bai Ji is the Blood princess while Ji Bai is the Male knight unless their was a typo in your message here where you said Ji bai is the blood princess. Ji bai has been gone since getting killed by Ji Yue & then became Bai Jin(Female Knight with Bai Ji mind)

Both Ji Bai and Bai Jin died so there’s only Bai Ji from now on
