Which incidentally, was the same time NamiComi took over operations...They've been enforcing that every now and then since the big DMCA removal. Not sure how it is now, but it was less consistent early on.
well im guessing it does need explaining cause that would mean theres no reason to remove anything from the site because except for EU and a few Asian countries most of what yall are saying is being removed have already been through western courts and been deemed legal and allowed so yea it does need to be explained cause either yall are following personal perspective and Opinion OR yall need to follow ALL laws of jurisdictions and remove everything including LGBTQ+, especially since yall are saying its anyone that looks underage in anything that would be rated suggestive or more and thats 90% of manga on the market and on the sitePlatforms will choose to follow laws of jurisdictions in which it is beneficial for them to continue being able to operate on. Are you sure you really need me to explain this to you or are you just arguing in bad faith? Have you ever wondered why youtube or twitter will follow common western laws but don't ban LGBT content? Come on man...
I guess i missed remember it then, maybe i mixed it with fox, there like 3-4 main site back then that i used to visit. (And there Kiss site.)original batoto wasn't sold. The guy who ran it just got tired and decided to shut it down one day. That's why there was such a rush to get MD up and running. There was limited time to grab all the series on batoto before it was gone for good.
Again.Australia, UK, Canada to name a few.
The stray cat girl series contained a high-school girl, which was ambiguous enough to be included. I'm not aware of any official content confirming her as over 18 and the scanlator did not provide any when I spoke to them.
Please see:
I won't bother with further "what about x series" replies.
If you believe there is anything wrong with what you quoted, spell it out. I don't mind replying if people are being civil, but if you're just gonna vaguepost and insult me you're just getting banned.
MD is a non-profit project, but the costs are still running. We gotta do what we gotta do. And as stated back in the takedown FAQ, one of the reasons for coming under NC management was due to the legal framework to handle claims like these.
Yes, it was uncalled for. I and several staff members wish she hadn't said that. I can't change the past, you can choose to believe in her apology or not. She's not getting demoted or removed over it. I'm not mad about it, but I think it's understandable that other people are. The choice to remove the content was unrelated to her or any staff member's personal opinion of the content.
Yes, much like you choose to follow laws instead of going to jail. Or how you choose to remove dozens of titles instead of blocking millions of users. Or how you choose to be obtuse about wording to post passive-agressive replies instead of using reasonable common sense interpratation.
wait, EN's a she?Yes, it was uncalled for. I and several staff members wish she hadn't said that. I can't change the past, you can choose to believe in her apology or not. As I remember, the old BATO admin made a post talking about how he was just tired of trying to manage the community and deal with aggregators stealing their work and wanted to stop. He left the site up for around a week after the announcement so people could export their bookmarks, but then it disappeared. MD was up and running a couple weeks later.wasn't he raided?
Enjoy losing everything, because you chose to cater to evil anti-freedom totalitarian countries, and betrayed all of your users, and betrayed all of your founding principles, and chose to lie and gaslight your users, and chose to insult your users when they correctly pointed out your blatant lies.Yes, much like you choose to follow laws instead of going to jail. Cuckstralia and United Middle East, after all the news about them wanting to censor the very free nature of otaku spaces, yet you still want to conform to them?Australia, UK, Canada to name a few.
All you had to do was to stay in America but no you wanted to come to my shitty country and block countries wanting to enforce their bullshit on you but nah you rather be a cuckYes, much like you choose to follow laws instead of going to jail. Eh, I can't blame them for removing mentions of other pirate sites if they're coming off the back of a massive DMCA and trying to keep a low profile.incidentally
Honestly, yeah if this is the policy decision and this comes from a legal threat I think we need to help the mods find each and every single series that might be an issue, I would add that not only should popular titles be reported but everything that has any minor being sexualized in any ways; as said mods need to decide on a case by case basis and there's about 313 pages of suggestive titles to review.I suggest everyone sort by Rating and file a report for every manga that has underage sexualization.
So many of their top mangas are gonna get nuked off the site and they need to see that.
or a "she"wait, EN's a she?
Eh, the ambiguity of Stray Cat Girl could've made it been excluded, but that's just me. This whole thing reminds me of the Cinderella Girl character Aiko Takamori being labeled with a loli tag on e-hentai.org, and the tags got removed. You host other series that are similar to Stray Cat Girl. It's pointless and irrelevant argument that I'm hearing.Australia, UK, Canada to name a few.

Mods mentioned recently it was coming soon on discord, but who knows. Last I heard account deletion breaks large parts of the website.ya so can we like turn back on the ability to delete our accounts?
consider e-h have sadpanda that allow loli, it should be fine on sadpanda, right? or they just block both?Eh, the ambiguity of Stray Cat Girl could've made it been excluded, but that's just me. "legal threat" isn't this whole site a big ass legal problem, this isn't mangaplus everything thing here is "illegal"Honestly, yeah if this is the policy decision and this comes from a legal threat I think we need to help the mods find each and every single series that might be an issue, I would add that not only should popular titles be reported but everything that has any minor being sexualized in any ways; as said mods need to decide on a case by case basis and there's about 313 pages of suggestive titles to review.
By the way is a minor under 18 or under 21? I don't really know the jurisdiction but that's the advantage of deciding case by case I guess, again good call to everyone involved.
for Minors its basically anything that depicts someone in highschool or younger so something like Freezing which has over 200 chapters on this site is going to be deleted because it dipicts highschoolers in sexual situationsHonestly, yeah if this is the policy decision and this comes from a legal threat I think we need to help the mods find each and every single series that might be an issue, I would add that not only should popular titles be reported but everything that has any minor being sexualized in any ways; as said mods need to decide on a case by case basis and there's about 313 pages of suggestive titles to review.

This doesn't answer any questions, and seems to be intentionally evasive to downright dismissive of honest user questions.Australia, UK, Canada to name a few.
