Hi everyone reading this comment forum right now, I’m just curious and want to ask, what the hell do people expect from this manga anymore? It’s just beating the hell around the bush about romance and a whiny Noa who doesn’t bother changing and it’s almost been 100 chapters with no one growing in the story except Rhihito. Are people expecting them to get together? Is that even the mangaka’s goal? From the general perception of other comments i think people are vehemently against Noa getting together with Rhihito because he doesn’t deserve a whiny bitch on his ass 24/7 7 days a week, but then what’s the point of this manga anymore if progress doesn’t exist?

I’m probably reading too much into it and it’s just slice of life lmao. Also maybe handholding counts as progress. As long as they do it. And the mangaka censors it of course

Uh.... nothing? I'm just enjoying the ride tbh.
Like, i'm more attached to the potential of how the author is going to handle the climax and ending since the setting is interesting. But I also realize the nature of the manga, which at its core is just a comedic SoL. Whether they end up together or not is not really of my concern, as long as it's amusing and/or satisfying.
I'm not married to the series, if it starts feeling too stretched out I'll just bail. I ain't pay nothin' after all :dogkek:

It's a slice of life with some what romcom-ish. So yeah, all of us are expecting Rhihito to marry Reni, or at least something I guess?

It's not manga for us, it's for Japanese. We are just joining the ride. And from all the social studies I've seen over past few months, Japanese male's "ideal girl" is someone like Noa. It's just mangaka farming on the brains (and other parts) of young, socially awkward guys with pocket money to spend. And he'll be doing that for as long as possible, because that's what is giving him money for bread. Him and his publishing company, so ofc they'll also push for manga to go on as long as possible. No need to dive deeper into this. Don't expect sudden change in the story. The only reason for that would be mangaka being on the verge of breaking (like author of Sono Bisque Doll was) or manga being axed.

Unfortunately, We aren't the target demographic. The Japanese market is and judging by the fact this is still getting consistent chapters, they seem to love this type of manga.

As for me, im just here to watch it burn or thrive. Genuinely there has been 0 character progression in the last couple of chapters, only fluff that as solidified that Noa has ALOT of issues and isn't a good fit for Rihito.

But what can you do, just grab the popcorn and watch the trainwreck unfold

I expect Noa to be a wreck and Rihito to nonchalantly stare at a wall just besides her.

Personally, I see this manga as a prequel to Silent Hill 2, explaining why James did this... well, you know.

Despite being a setup with working adults, this pretty much just follows the formula of a high school romcom where nothing really happens until maybe the last 5 chapters or so.

So you pretty much read it to watch Noa being cute/funny/sexy, and if you don't think her outbursts are funny or endearing, there's not much for you to enjoy really, besides some teasing once in a while that something might happen (but deep inside knowing that probably nothing will happen).
