It’s just beating the hell around the bush about romance and a whiny Noa who doesn’t bother changing and it’s almost been 100 chapters with no one growing in the story except Rhihito. Are people expecting them to get together? Is that even the mangaka’s goal? From the general perception of other comments i think people are vehemently against Noa getting together with Rhihito because he doesn’t deserve a whiny bitch on his ass 24/7 7 days a week, but then what’s the point of this manga anymore if progress doesn’t exist?

I’m probably reading too much into it and it’s just slice of life lmao. Also maybe handholding counts as progress. As long as they do it. And the mangaka censors it of course

To be honest I'm just enjoying the ride while this manga isn't getting axed. Even if I expecting something I cannot do anything because we here reading illegally i think. And that's true from all people saying here. It's the japanese side that probably you should ask. If it's still going then it's making money.

There's some other manga that have a good story but short or getting axed. But again I'll just enjoy this chapter by chapter while it last

The thing with Noa is that she loves open gestures of affection, that's why she is okay with hugging. But a gesture so subtle and more secretive as handholding feels just too intimate.

Its just a silly dumb slice of life type manga where all the character's personalities are dialed up to 11.
Literally everyone has their trope and goes all the way with it.

Progress is glacial ofc, as these manga tend to be, but Noa does have some development in her own weird way. She isnt as cripplingly insecure now as she used to be. Far more confident in their relationship and open about her actual self instead of hiding behind that perfect office lady persona as much. Openly and directly wants to befriend Reni, though she still hates Noa for some valid and some not so valid reasons.

Just dont take it too seriously and enjoy the ride. Its not a manga you should consider as a guide to relationships like some people seem to believe in the comments. Like damn guys, its not that deep and they're both literally made to compliment each other.
Noa brings some needed color to his life and Rihito brings some equally needed stability. Even in world other characters have mentioned hes become more easygoing

Seriously though, there's a lot of backsliding, but that seems in tune with what it's like to have severe mental health issues. You don't just "get better". It also helps that Noa is like this while she is a functional, even highly competent working adult, so clearly she is doing her best to not be a burden to others. So long as she shows no sign of actual malice, and Rihito continues to display angelic patience, it's worth sticking around to see if maybe she can slowly heal over time. Healing from severe mental health problems often looks like getting worse. The first feelings that return tend to be the negative, painful ones, much like recovering from frostbite.

Another thing to consider - Noa desperately wishes she wasn't like this. She was trying to do everything right when it came to relationships, not just her working life. She carries a lot of trauma in that field that isn't entirely self-inflicted. Who knows what sort of environment she grew up in? (Have we met her parents? Don't remember at the moment.) We know what Rihito had to endure, and you have to admit: going from Reni as company to Noa is an upgrade in every way imaginable.

Honestly the least realistic part of Noa is how she lacks literally any semblance of malice in any way.
Never have I seen, heard of or met a woman as crazy as Noa that lacked any malice or did something irredeemable.

Yes Noa is a pain in the ass, but she's still genuine and loving. I think she's worth sticking with just because of how pure and totally lacking in ill will she is.

There's also Rihito's extreme levels of apathy that most seem to gloss over. He aint normal in anyway either. Then again this manga is just a silly light hearted thing where everyone has extreme personalities and not some deep meaningful exploration of mental health
