Maybe that's why she mostly hunts her own free range!Don't most modern crops come with trace amounts of pesticides in them?
Man, she really has a lot of things to worry about huh.
IIRC modern dragonflies are the most efficient killers; There was also a GIANT dragonfly in the high-oxygen levelIf there were a dragonfly yokai it would be pretty badass.
To pick some nits, it was actually before the age of dinosaurs. Carboniferous period.IIRC modern dragonflies are the most efficient killers; There was also a GIANT dragonfly in the high-oxygen level dino-times.
It would be terrifying
This is the closest thing I can find, which is honestly pretty lame. It wraps around your spine and gives you back pain (okay and then there is poison). https://yokai.com/koshinukenomushi/Does Japan even have dragonfly youkai? I reckon Yotsuyu is alfraid of dragonflies from her natural spider early period of life, not because of some fancy dragonfly youkai.
Especially where garments made from the spun silk or fur of other animals are actual existing products, they really don't seem so unreasonable. While Goro and Toda get all the blame, it was Goro's mom that wanted Kogane's shed toe beans.
Spiderman:Yikes - that insecticide thing has got to be a serious risk for her. On the other hand, being able to spin spider silk in her human form is a pretty neat trick.
Thanks for the chapter!
Many substances humans use as spices or flavorings are also natural insecticides, so she may have to train to eat various things, like Kogane did with alliums.Yikes - that insecticide thing has got to be a serious risk for her. One thing they haven't discussed here (I think?) is that caffeine is basically drugs for spiders. Gets them loopy and they build weird webs. Many substances humans use as spices or flavorings are also natural insecticides, so she may have to train to eat various things, like Kogane did with alliums.

Indeed, there's also a short but interesting video documentary about it, which you can find on YouTube:The caffeine statement is accurate. In addition there were scientific experiments with the effect on their webs when exposed to illicit drugs like lsd. The results were neat.
