Yotsuyu on...
Dangerous yokai: Should I just kill them?
Dragonflies: Save me!
Yotsuyu's veranda dive is one of the more dynamic panels in the series, and pon Yotsuyu is always a joy to behold. While Goro and Toda get all the blame, it was Goro's mom that wanted Kogane's shed toe beans. :slap: Thanks as always to sarusa and thumper.

IIRC modern dragonflies are the most efficient killers; There was also a GIANT dragonfly in the high-oxygen level dino-times.
It would be terrifying
To pick some nits, it was actually before the age of dinosaurs. Carboniferous period.

Does Japan even have dragonfly youkai? I reckon Yotsuyu is alfraid of dragonflies from her natural spider early period of life, not because of some fancy dragonfly youkai.

This is the closest thing I can find, which is honestly pretty lame. It wraps around your spine and gives you back pain (okay and then there is poison). https://yokai.com/koshinukenomushi/

On the "agreement 36" thing: most countries have similar legislation that allow an employer to demand mandatory overtime and they usually do not require any agreement on the union's/employee representatives' part and are simply codified into civil law. So it's nothing unusual other than having the limits admitedly pretty damn high. From what I've read, a Japanese employee can be made to do up to 100h weekly, 700h yearly extra overtime. All European countries I've worked in have less than half that, on both counts. In any case, practice shows that the best way to keep overtime from becoming a regular thing is to mandate that every ovetime hour be paid extra, significantly. The places I've known started with 50-100% extra for every hour and that climbed to 100-200% when working on holidays (including weekends), or at night. Worked pretty well, it allowed employers to still manage under extraordinary or emergency situations, while making them bleed money if they do not look for actual solutions to a shortage of hands. It meant overtime was really the exception rather than rule.

I can't really see the spider silk thing as lewd. It just looks like she's flossing her teeth. Does Kogane have a dental fetish?

A fake dragonfly on the veranda seems like a good idea, both for bug repelling and as exposure therapy for Yotsuyu's phobia. However, he really should've discussed it with her first.
Yikes - that insecticide thing has got to be a serious risk for her. On the other hand, being able to spin spider silk in her human form is a pretty neat trick.
Many substances humans use as spices or flavorings are also natural insecticides, so she may have to train to eat various things, like Kogane did with alliums.

The caffeine statement is accurate. In addition there were scientific experiments with the effect on their webs when exposed to illicit drugs like lsd. The results were neat.

One thing they haven't discussed here (I think?) is that caffeine is basically drugs for spiders. Gets them loopy and they build weird webs.

Indeed, there's also a short but interesting video documentary about it, which you can find on YouTube:
