This manga is in a very strange position. The protagonist is too much of a pussy to not take any action further, but too much of a scumbag to take advantage of girls with this hypnosis power. People who view hypnosis as rape will give it a low score and probably drop it, and people who want to see "action" will probably be disappointed too.

That's the problem of having a protagonist with hypnosis powers in a mainstream series. If he were enough of a scumbag to take advantage, this would be a straight up hentai series and, well, hentai with hypnosis are (almost) literally a dime a dozen.

But if he were less of a scumbag, he wouldn't even consider using the hypnosis or would use it exclusively like he did to the one girl's ex-boyfriend.

That said, the MC is at least self-aware that he's both a scumbag and a coward; there's also something deeper going on, since there's no way that "dream" was anything less than heavy-handed foreshadowing.

It'll probably end up being that the hypnosis app is a secret test of character; people who fail the test (apparently) get obliterated by the concentrated resentment of their victims, while people who pass... Dunno. With a test about literal mind control, the only winning move seems not to play.

MC'll pass, though, because he didn't really take advantage of the girls as much as he could have and, at the end of the day, still helped with their personal issues and that'll somehow make everything okay.

This is why I say the protagonist can talk the talk, but not walk the walk. He finds someone who would actually be completely, 100% down for being hypno-raped and goes "This is everything I've fantasized about but is way too intimidating."

I think the author's found a great way to toe the line between the original concept and keeping it from being generic hentai with the way the mc has the desires without being able to act on them but obviously many people disagree. The fact that he's self-aware and hates how pathetic he is instead of convincing himself of some moral high ground also helps.

I just enjoy hypnosis and find it pretty funny.
I also get to see what I like, hypnotized girls, seeing them being actually raped is an optional thing in MC fetish stuff

I think what the manga is conveying is that the power of hypnosis is not inherently evil, but it is the user that can give it that nature.
I believe that its trying to appeal to people who like subverted expectations, or want spicy scenarios but want to avoid straight up r*pe.

The actual winning move isn't not to play, but to openly use it for, like...free therapy.

That's a very good way of something is up but there is another aspect to it as well that the MC isn't quite aware of.

That is the waifus getting jealous when he's around other women and the first waifu wanting to be friends with him outside of hypnosis time

Yeah he wants to do perverted things but he is terrified of turning out like the dream person and being hated. He has an infiriority complex thinking that none of that women would be interested in him that it's only because of hypnosis which doubles down on his inferiority even when outside of hypnosis they are trying to get closer to him

About the dream/nightmare guy

About if MC could really ra*e someone

About his First time

Any time the App is turned active it drains a ridiculous amount of battery that no battery pack or backup can sustain, especially if there is more then 1 girl hypnotized. One thing interesting some fans may have picked up on is 1st waifu spending time with him outside of hypnosis, and signs of jealousy.
The reason
