Still, I was hoping that he'd be a decent person but I guess that was too much to ask.

Opinion. The simpler stories seem to have more longevity. Especially in weekly/monthly manga. The last thing you need is to be tripping over intrigue and struggling to remember what you read the month before, yet writers keep over-egging their works with more and more layers of complexity. Yes, if you are going back in the future, after the whole story is available to binge, but at this point, it is a struggle to keep track of all these threads.

The problem there, though, is that simpler stories don't really draw in and retain readers to the same degree. And since readership is (figuratively) life or death for a series, you get cliffhangers and multiple plot threads and the like. Anything to keep readers coming back chapter to chapter.

Pretty much a certainty, given that he's aiming to be tamed, despite the general opinion being that it enslaves the subject. He wants to reflect the effect.

A) He's got a way to reflect/recreate others' skills
B) He has some scheme where if he gets tamed, it'll cause an all-out war against the royal capital and put our MC in serious hot water
C) He's just gay and wants to be with the man that suddenly became his interest

I'm banking on B here, assuming the spore/zombie stuff doesn't impede the mystery plot.

ok, after the last chapter where I was annoyed that they seemed to brush past their suspicions of the Duke's son, it's nice that they're still suspicious. Still not a fan of how similar this feels to the Prince arc though. And the other new Prince doing basically the same thing.

Probably parasitic plants taking people over, and since we know MC was able to free brainwashing with tame, he'll presumably do that here, which will bring much joy to the noble who wants to be tamed who presumably will get a far worse infection than anyone else throwing himself into the hivemind core or something.

i got to say, i couldnt care less about the previous classmates or the nobles plots. would love to fast forward through it because we can guess how it will go in the end.

Everything else is great though, more adventuring and heroing please.
