I love a confident Yano. She is by far one the most sane and safe people. Yes, she has her struggles but she isn't toxic like some characters.
I wonder if Hime will indeed develop feelings for Yano, all those blushings and the way how she even inserts herself as an excuse when Yano rejects someone...I mean, I do t remember her having any close reaction like that to others. She only blushes like that with Yano, she only gets thoughtful and "jealous" with her.
I'm getting hopeful for a YanoxHime happy ending

I'd say everyone at Liebe is equally important to the story. The title is referring to all of them and not just Hime after all. Calling Kanoko and Sumika side characters seems more crazy to me.

So real buddy, and people would act like kanoko and sumika don’t matter, Hime loves kanoko the same way she likes Yano, at least as of now. That’s the whole reason they in the situation now, she can’t like either of them romantically right now.

"romantically" feels like a stretch, in that Hime isn't looking at anybody in a romantic light as of right now. She's definitely got feelings that she's not even looking at, much less processing, but Yano and Kanoko having love for Hime is very much a one-sided thing, at present.

I'd go so far as to say that Hime feels differently when it comes to Yano, as compared to Kanoko. Unless I'm really forgetting, she's made it clear with Kanoko that she sees her as a friend, and Hime doesn't have these sorts of moments with her, that she's having even in this chapter with Yano.

Kanoko's whole arc was trying to square that she can't get Hime to see her as a potential romantic partner, and that is how she's ended up with Sumika (at least in part).

What a beautiful chapter for all of us who love this series and the Yano x Hime couple in particular. Seeing the healthy relationship they have now, in contrast to the turbulent Volumes 7 and 8, is simply a caress for my soul.

I'm very optimistic and hopeful for what's to come in what seems to be the (long) final stretch of this series.

In my opinion, there are clear signs that Hime is developing romantic feelings for Yano (she's just not fully aware of them yet), but we'll see. I would be very surprised if Sumika x Kanoko and Yano x Hime don't end up as the definitive couples once this is all over (although I personally would prefer Sumika to be paired up with Nene).

The manga is pretty soap-opera esque so i think it fits;
But i also think some of it is just like that because we're viewing the scene through the mind of Yano, who has a habit of overcomplicating things in her own head, which in reality aren't that serious

That feeling of being lost when people suddenly just started dogpiling on you when you felt that you've done absolutely nothing wrong only to find out after the fact that you were apparently doing something that was socially frowned upon … that got a bit too real. Oof.

I took that as them just making a joke; referencing how long we were focused on the rest of cast, as well as the times that line was ironically spammed back then.

I kinda get the appeal, but personally I can't see Sumika and Nene happening. The whole lesson around that ship seems to be that Nene already screwed up her chance, bad, and sometimes the best you can do is move on. Kanoko made mistakes too, but they were often out of ignorance. She firmly rejected Yoko's ideals around using jealously, something Nene enjoyed abusing in the past, and once she realized the truth behind Yoko's goals she broke contact and was desperate to make it up to Sumika.
