Maybe he was being considerate? It clearly hasn’t spread through the human(+assorted friendly species) grapevine, so if the Hero is keeping it a secret he might as well play along. If nothing else as a form of leverage, and to see what Shachiku does with the lie.Interesting that Brahms lied about not knowing the demon king was defeated, wonder what he is hoping to accomplish.
I have to wonder if Brahms may figure out a loophole in the same way that Laspi is considered dead by the world, but is also still very much alive. Alternatively, Brahms has lived long enough in the sins of his past that death honestly might be a mercy, especially since I imagine he can't really die by his own power 🤔I was for a second expecting a small arc, but he reminded me once again that speedrunning stays speedrunning. Kira does not need to worry about Shachiku taking way too long. Shame, the true ending involve killing Brahms because It'd be more interesting to see his layers then Kira just offing him because he's a demon who killed his own kind. By no means is he good but having more for our Protag to question his routing is nice. Also lol that ending.
