Doubt that even for a second, Zenki and Goki thought of Dara as a threat.

They are guardians of her shrine, she is the goddess they defer to... she is their boss XD.

The tiny parasite ayakashi went to the wrong neighborhood and got jumped.

You know... in other stories, the quickness with which they dealt with the impurity sister would have been a sign of bad writing, the way she appeared suddenly too... but here... it makes sense her appearing, because there are whole volumes of character development and story, it made sense on how the pieces fit for that to happen.

And her quick defeat feels good... because she is so easy to hate, I did not want or need her stay to extend, I wanted her purged the moment she showed her ugly face.

Dara-san playing card games, lmao. It's great that she's playing a thematic poison deck... I remember my favorite deck to play way back was a Myr poison deck with crossbows to target my opponent directly and proliferate. Fun times!

Yeah Magic uses dice, coin flips, counters, and some formats you cane even use "stickers" to change the name of some cards for different effects

Hatahiro Masatsugu, he's the guardian/bodyguard of that priestess with freckles and eyeglasses, title name Nagi, real name Hatahiro Saeko. They first appear in chapter 8. Nagi/Saeko has appeared a few more times since she's friends with the MCs' mom and both like music bands and go to concerts and interact more with the MCs while Masatsugu has been limited in the number of appearances iirc.

Definitely Magic the Gathering with the flavor text mentioning it's based off of an overseas card game that is notoriously expensive. Plus when they have themed deck types, that's kinda a thing in MTG with their color deck types since what you can summon is based off your land types

Koharu is Dara-san, it's written as 小春

The envious sister is Tsubaki, written as 椿

I am still in awe of the mangaka's ability to swing back and forth between horror and comedy. Both in the writings and the arts.

Actually it's written 木春, not the more common Koharu 小春, but they can be pronounced the same. Koharu's two Kanjis form Tsubaki's Kanji as explained in ch 35 lore, something that would not fit it was 小春 instead.
