you are correct in that they don't owe anyone anything, but i think what adpa is getting at is that they clearly had chapters finished. the fact they dropped 2 chapters back to back in a way that seems like a response to another group picking up their slack comes off as a bit pathetic. if they don't want to continue translating, that's entirely their prerogative, but just leaving the series untouched for a month+ without saying anything only to return in retaliation is just spitting on the group that picked up their slack, and us the readers.

if they had put "sorry for the delay, we were dealing with something but rushed these out to catch up" then i wouldn't have a problem as they're communicating a reason they were gone and an intent to continue, but they didn't. all we know is if another group hadn't uploaded the new chapters, we may never have gotten them from the group at all, which is just a prick move.

Yeah that was my point, I've seen a bunch of other mangas have this same problem where the og scan somehow keeps fighting to keep the manga but won't actually release any new chapters on their own.

Sick of ts for real.

Not the first time another group had to wake these guys up. At this point it’s just pathetic that this continues to happen; it’s a waste of the time for the group that began translating, and it’s an insult to the readerbase who’s clearly having chapters withheld from them for whatever petty reason it is.

People seem hungry for drama. They said they were going to finish the arc then leave it for whoever. Anytime a group drops a bunch of chapters to finish an arc all at once people praise them for it and thank the gods, even with the delay. Just cause someone else stepped in before the arc is finished it's skewing expectations.

Such bullshit pathetic action. I know one of the groups in this 4-group-amalgamation also did something similar. Didn't drop a chapter for a while but then immediately dropped two chapters when someone else dropped a chapter. Pathetic

And, I've always hated those other groups who go radio silent for a year and then just come and drop 10 chapters with questionable quality and dip.

I hate when translators treat their fanbase with some respect and it really grinds my gears when the fanbase also treat their scan with respect too. I also hate supporting the scans that put heart and soul into their work by giving $20 whenever I get the chance, because frankly who gives a fuck about measly 20 right

I love when scanlators act like I'm the scum of the earth for even asking what's going to happen with their series and try to shut my mouth with "You're not paying".

I honestly don't know if you're being sarcastic or serious but, I prefer to donate to the scans I like whenever I can because they're wasting their time and effort to translate it.

But that doesn't mean I like all scanlations, I just hate how some of them act from the bottom of my heart.

Anyways yeah, I try and donate whenever I can but that's not really that often since I'm a broke uni student lmao

1 montth is not a very long hiatus, no one knows whats going on behidn the scenes, chapters can be "done" but the redrawer/ type setter is unavaialbe cause theyre in cabo, coem back and finisht heir backlog
