As a novel reader, even I think THIS is the definitive version of the story. This, is better than the novel. IT exceed the source. The artist sure know the story well and make sure the manga doesn't ended up as just marketing material. 🥂Isn't the manga arguably the same? Not really an excuse I'd say.
@Grimmycoffee pinging because I notice you liked the comment. Can someone who's read the light novel just spoil me on what her fucking deal is?
If you watch the anime then yk it lol which why i hope this manga adapt it betterI wonder if Rose is just afraid to go all out, like some "lose shit" berserker type
Hope she's not traitor or something like that
No. The novel is nothing remotely special. This story is hard carried by the mangakas art and choreographyIsn't the manga arguably the same? Not really an excuse I'd say.
The tankobon bonus in volume 3 has an Arm Wrestling Ranking, which listed Heinblitz as the strongest followed by Kuruni.Heinblitz isn't "OP super strong", Kuruni is stronger, she literally lifted a fully armored man off the ground with a training weapon.
Thank you!@Grimmycoffee pinging because I notice you liked the comment.
Anyway, yes, your suspicion are true. However, she is not doing it willingly. In the anime (and by extent, the LN), Rose was part of Svenn country orphanage. Now that she grew up to be vice commander of the knight order, she found herself her calling to give back what she received during her childhood: taking care of the orphanage. This is weaponized by the papal faction of Svenn to coax her into helping the assassins achieve their mission to kill the Royalist Prince (which is likely the one who leaked informations about the festivals and such). If she fails her mission, the orphanage will not survive.
However, looking at how this develop in the manga, I hope it explores a bit more about her actions down the line. I am seeing the vision, and it is equally badass and eye-teary.
It's a bit spoiler, if you don't mind.I wonder if Rose is just afraid to go all out, like some "lose shit" berserker type

The manga is actually more superior than the novel. The mangaka for this series really did a great job at improving the story. If the mangaka just blindly follow the story 100% straight up the same as the novel, the manga won't be as popular as right now.Isn't the manga arguably the same? Not really an excuse I'd say.
I feel like the manga tries to show how much tension can be found in medieval martial arts, and the anime just played up the absurdity without trying to highlight anything apart from that. Never watched it apart from a few clips of the OP esp after hearing opinions on it.Its crazy how much worse the anime is in comparison. The mangaka lingers on subtleties a lot and draws a lot of intense silences.
It's a bit spoiler, if you don't mind.
Roze's swordstyle is more defensive and focus on counter and parry. Her primary weapon is a sword and shield, and she's really good at utilizing her shield.
In this sparring match, she didn't use a shield. It's clearly she hid her true skills.
Anime is a cut off from the LN.Ahhh the manga is so much better than the anime and from what I hear the ln too.
