i hope yoil find him/herself
would be kinda nice if somehow she became a leader since he have like a leader potential
It kinda feels like she's lost her confidence after being discovered, she made a mistake and is really trying to fix it, but doesn't kn9w how to move forward. I think Izumi and Oh Minji have both noticed. Like in the first monthly evaluation she spoke out, but it feels her current self wouldn't.

Dude, I'm starting to think my friend is Kim Sanghyun. First, he holds his drink the same way as Sanghyun, they're both not handsome, my friend's past life was also a woman (when he was little, a fortune teller told him his past life was a princess because the she mistook him for a girl), they both also have big egos. Also, if this manhwa is set in 2025, they were both born in mid-2006.

I do wonder how Song Dabi is still in. She seems like the least capable of the trainees and had the most serious feedback from the judges. She could be underselling herself or maybe it's just the result of her not having enough screen time to flesh out her capabilities as a trainee prior to her friendship with Han-Yoli. Either way, she better lock in and make it to the main debut team because it'll be devastating to lose such a fun character.

This chapter kinda low on the mood. But after reading it 2-3 times I realized It's setup the problem for the second month evaluation or next 20 chapters.

20-25 chapters of first month evaluation is Kim SangHuyn get of rid his past self part by part to meet the company standard and have a chance to debut.

Recently, Han Yo-il got rewards from acting as a woman: Lots of attention which made she felt wonderful and ofcourse instinct push her to keep acting to gain that satisfying feeling. Luckily the past experience as Kim Sang Huyn still there, preventing her becoming a female "Cha Gongwon".

This make the next 20 chapters very interesting since we get to see how Han Yo-il define herself, what part of Kim SangHuyn is kept (except the debut as an idol part) and what to change. Hopfully we will see Han Yo-il as an idol who meets the company standard but still have space to show her own self( or i should say new self) and not the LRH shadow/copy everyone think of.

So, if the author keeping this ~25 chapters pace, Yo-il definitely got to debut team in chapter 8x and properly promote by company. I would love to have a relax pace after countless hardwork and Han Yo-il questioning herself like hanging out, enjoying the idolwork like photographing, participating in events, vacations...

Exactly! I can't have written where I feel the series is going towards that you haven't said in spades.

We the audience know that, but it will take a while for the MC to realize that she doesnt have to meet the industry's standards on how she should act and behave.

This is exactly what I wanted to. I prefer Yoil while in public maintain the idol & feminine standards that people prefers. But during privately with other trainees she’s maintain her original personality as “Sanghyun”.

I hope this doesn’t mean Yoil starts stopping to wearing fashionable clothes because of not being “herself”

Well this all started because of that voice director who barely asleep that stated Yoil needs to increase her voice pitch higher. Which made her starting trying to be more feminine, as Yoil felt being Sanghyun is nothing special.

Director Han also said Yoil needs to take it seriously if she wants to be an idol. Gongwom also said that she needs act more naturally if she wants to deceive others, which obviously hard for Yoil

It's not symbolism. There's a good reason Yoil is doing that. First, she was told that her voice was using masculine vocal features, which she needs to get rid of. Then Cha Gongwon found out about the transformation.

Those two things made Yoil realize that simple pretending isn't enough, and that in order to perform as best as possible in the role and debut, she needs to live as Yoil all the time and try to act as girly as possible. This is similar to method acting, where an actor plays a character by trying to feel as if they were that character as much as possible, almost to the point of momentarily forgetting their actual self.

The issues we've been seeing the past few chapters, and especially this chapter, are a side effect of that method acting, except it's even more serious because Sanghyun is trying to "become" Yoil in almost every aspect, even in private. So all these recent problems are meant to show Yoil that it's going too far and needs to be dialed back. Maybe not all the way, but enough so that she doesn't sound and feel as fake as she has been.

it seems like being in yoil form 24/7 takes a mental toll he's not ready to pay yet
Yeah, I'm expecting a mental breakdown before long. This is not who he is and it's clearly wearing on him.

And by that, I don't mean he's not a woman. Of course he's not really a woman, but at least until now, he's just been himself in a female body. He got used to it and he'd been able to focus on just bettering himself at his job. But this? I think this is going to push him over the edge before too much longer.
