God this made me feel old
Twitter had just started in 06, but didn't really catch until 07.
Also, considering smartphones(at least the consumer market ones) were just kicking off in 06/07, it makes sense he'd have no idea about what modern phones can do
I don't know if the ideas are poorly thought out, or it's just badly adapted from the book coz the mangaka isn't taking enough time explaining the world but here again this feels dumb. This isn't world's end harem, a man appearing in public shouldn't be news. If you killed 999/1000 of the men on our current earth you'd still have over 4 million men on the planet. 1:1000 isn't nearly bad enough of a ratio for men to be seen as mythical like his first retainer was thinking. It's made even worse since in this same chapter (merely seven pages later) we learn that his old buddy is a politician, elected member of parliament. So fucking mythical he sits in the parliament ! How much magic aura can you really maintain when you have people in parliament ?
The bigger issue is more about the assumption that their world would be similar to ours, just with more demons. Especially on the technology front. The mere fact that half of the worldwide workforce disappeared would guarantee a big slowdown on technology development not directly linked to war efforts. And the shell shock of four billion deaths in the span of months ? The need to recreate society/culture around lack of men. Plus, the destruction and demon attacks. Their world would have a thousand priorities more important than inventing smartphones.
Almost nobody knew about twitter in 2005. And of those who did a good chunk regarded is a waste of bytes, bunch of idiots screaming into the void.

The problem located in where the man are kept on, even the world setting where man to woman is 1:39, GOOD man are so scarce woman can ovulate from a whiff, and our MC here is built under assumption as a walking wet dream of majority of woman.
In feminazy world setting, the woman can do EVERYTHING that man can do, especially in beauty products. You can see it reflected in how all of the woman are pretty good looking, everyone flashing their AV looks.
