God I love Myne s strategies when it comes to Ditter.

hiding it in her high beast is a genuinely smart and unique strategy but just attacking them while they’re still getting set up is legitimately common sense and anyone who’s played the game before would know that. Except (thanks to budget cuts) the Ditter students have pretty much never actually played treasure stealing Ditter before. this actually isn't true for Dunkelfalger they have regular games of even treasure stealing ditter practically every year

the problem is that they don't have anyone to ditter against so tactics that wouldn't be used by them wouldn't have surfaced. the tactic RM planned to use would absolutely be seen as cowardly by the apprentices of Dunkelfalger. so yeah they had training in it but not against anyone who wouldn't fight head on cuz that's the most dunkelfalger way

I'm ok with that, though I would prefer to see the conclusion of the ditter game first. I suppose if it is a 2 parter chapter prioritize that before resuming the regular schedule release. But that's just me.

Do we know if this is true of the current generation of knights before this moment? Lestilaut is in his 4th year and considers Treasure Stealing Ditter as pointless before he loses to Rozemyne and Rauffen educates him on the true reason for playing ditter.

Not surprising. It's a fantastic evolution for combat and if it didn't look so weird, it'd have been adopted by half the country by now

so... they just throw a feral stinky cat into the backseat of the car (lessy) ? 😅😅

myne should have probably make a cage-like or closed compartment with bars or barriers just like in police cars instead of just dumping it on the backseat considering she can manipulate Lessy interior and exterior.

that way, the beast is further hidden or protected from the enemies and a separate space inside lessy with barriers would protect myne from the beast itself should it manage to escape from its bind.

Damn, game started wait a little for the knights leaving to be somewhat far and fireball the ones that stayed, then trap then with some net or hole type spell and throw a blizzard for good measure and you eliminated half the enemy opponents.
Why are they so dumb? Physical attacks? Really? Knights? YOU HAVE MAGIC!!!! Use it.

Spoiler: Rauffen Short Story

Even if it's the case for adults, it's not the case for students, as there is an entire chapter about Lestilaut getting his ass beat because he denigrates Treasure Ditter, not realizing the implications it actually has in strategizing for real world conflicts. For students, Trasure Ditter is very much an antiquated type of game, like if you asked an american to play cricket instead of baseball.

It's not though. It's only useful when you're massively at mana advantage.

Highbeast doesn't have offensive capability outside of physical ramming so for most knights a riding type means it's harder to use their weapon for the mana infused blast. They also ALREADY have the magic stone armor for protection.

And the fact that it relies on you having such high mana capacity that no other person/feybeast can damage your highbeast massively limit who this tactic is even viable for.

And as Myne mention here, the highbeast itself can still get captured and taken away even if the person inside is safe.

Even in that situation I spoilered before

Hanne only did it for 'more efficiency' from the magic tool since the feybeasts then are too weak to cause any damage + are stupid enough to swarm over her highbeast, the biggest 'mana/food' in the area.

The sight of her being buried under a swarm of feybeasts was NOT a pleasant one for her guards to watch though.
