I find this kind of plot point very annoying whenever they come up. I understand the distance after a confession that didn't quite work out at first, as it is something that does happen. But manga in general, not just this one, insist on creating this massive gap in distance between the two parties that is just nonsensical. These two were having their siblings meet regularly and suddenly they stop for a week, cut all content, and we're just supposed to accept being told this. It's far too strong of a contrast between the before and after.
What's more bothersome though is just how common this entire trope is in so many romcom manga. Just stop, get better ideas, or at least, execute them properly. These two are good people, they like each other, show them trying to make it work without it being some repetitive slog.

Sigh... Author, if you're gonna pull this 'makes sense' drama then maybe it's better if the MC and FMC don't end up together, cuz this 'makes sense' drama has only 6 chapters left

I think it does make sense, she's afraid of following her own desires and letting them overwhelm her responsibility, same as the male lead.
Of course, that doesn't make it not awkward and frustrating, but that's drama.

I guess it’s the MC who will get the talk instead of the FMC. Here’s hoping someone talks some sense into her too

As much as I lowk was crashing out over her response while reading, I get that MC probably should’ve sat down with her and had a better conversation other than just saying that he loves her and nothing else. Also glad he acknowledges that he has to talk with her later in the chap
They are still kids, so... :pout:

The MC is probably going to have to foot the bill to fix this situation but it's frustrating when he didn't do much wrong here.

If he gets blamed for the distance between them by their mutual friends that's realistic sadly but ultimately upsetting. In my opinion 100٪ of the work and onus is on the FMC here to realize she's being an idiot, she can actually have it all because the MC has helped her to see that, and that she hurt him and has to make up for that.

Probably not gonna happen and it'll get rug swept by the MC but oh well at least they'll end up together.

I guess this was always gonna be the big conflict here. Two kids who basically define themselves through taking care of someone else, who bonded almost exclusively over that image, were always gonna have issues reevaluating that relationship.
Guess we're gonna send the last few chapters making her realize that putting her brother first at all times (even when it's not necessary, when she's just doing it because she always does it) isn't healthy for either if them in the long term.

And, Author went full retard with the most dogshit drama possible... FUck those authors addicted to most retarded kind of drama that make no fucking sense
Not as bad as the childhood friend showing up in the middle of nowhere just to be the best character in a long time and then get brutally rejected because the MC is already in love with someone else.

Yeah sorry but the people who say this makes sense aren't remembering the manga they are reading. MC has never gotten in the way of her taking care of her brother, if anything he's made it easier. He's also been a huge help for her mentally and he's the whole reason she's been able to relax lately and smile.

He has done nothing to indicate that he would monopolize her time or try to push away the little brother. There's barely any reason for their day to day to change even if they start dating. Sure it's gonna suck to not be able to go on dates or whatever but thats clearly a price hes willing to pay, they barely go out as is.

Yuki is just conditioned to think that Rei is more important than her own happiness and thats just not true. Even if it was, she has no reason to think this relationship would interfere with that. She just took a terrible decision based on nothing and broke his heart, so she better apologize for it.
Everything you've posted is literally from someone who can see the situation objectively from the outside looking in.

I have friends who say they'll never change but they get so involved with their partners their other priorities fall apart and they have nothing once they break up.

It's super easy for us as readers or outsiders to say "this shit is obvious" but how is it obvious to a girl who's never dated and has spent most of her adult life avoiding romance to look after her brother?

Actually crazy to me people believe that they'd never make the same mistakes in the same scenario with all the benefits of 20/20 hindsight and birds eye view lmao

6 chapters left, so we get the usual drama bs right before the end, a confession in the last 5-10 pages and then it ends. can the fucking authors just change their shitty writing style already and have them get together more naturally with drama along the way and not as a last minute waste of time?? that way we could see the couples get lovey-dovey for the last few chapters and have an actual satisfying epilogue.

Thank you for this, because these comments are weird. Especially the ones blaming him

I just hope they don't blame the ml for thsi cause she is actively ignoring him and he's only responding to her response. I think, to write this well, she needs to take initiative but I know that that won't happen

I fully expect that instead, she will realize that she can still fully put her brother first even while dating, and that will be from the male MC saying they could both work together to put all their siblings first together, or something… (I don’t agree with it, and it’s my cynicism talking, I would greatly prefer your version.)
