The fact of the matter is that Kondo had literally nothing on Miyuki until after she accepted his advances. She literally folded under zero pressure. She only has herself to blame.

Nobody is saying she deserve be raped or anything like that, we are saying she is diging her own grave and everything is happenig is her own fault. The one is messing her is herself, not the girl in club or kondo or the society. Since the beginning she always is choose the "easy" or the most pleasurable option instead the right option, her """regret""" is because she was caught red handed instead becuase what she know how wrong was her actions. This is the basic mentallity of a cheater, they fear the consequences, but they not truly regret their actions.

My point is that her punishment is lower than than Kondo's and Tachibana's and more equal to the perpetrators that joined in for fun. Compared to the former, she is a free woman and is given time to fix her life with some difficulties of course.

A disappropriate punishment would have been if she was tried at court, like the other two, and the prosecutors try to increase her liability to the point she would pay more legal damages or go to juvie or prison. She was given leeway to reduce the compensation instead if she chose to contest it.

She's not facing legal consequences because she cheated-it was falsely accusing him of assault, contributing to it and hiding the truth because she did not want to tank the reputation hit. The former was just the cause.

My point still stands that her punishment is not dissappropriate as she is not facing any prison time.

Not directly "Eiji assaulted me" but rather "Eiji is an abusive boyfriend" which she probably said when she was asked by her classmates in the first three days off panel. Unfortunately the Author didn't have the time to write that, it would have been interesting to see in terms of liability.

Yeah, you can't jail someone for lack of inaction but what Miyuki did was along lines of Obstruction of Justice since she knew what was going on. Fortunately for her, she avoided that legal liability by telling the truth to the female investigator that interviewed her which was the catalyst to give her leeway to reduce the compensation.

I wasn't talking about this series but another that overdose the drama and getting even and thats what happened to the cheat.

In this series she made a conscious choice, MC bored her, only relationship she been in, she thought he would accept her regardless of how much she cheated, which is why she's confused why MC mother is angry with her.

For punishment I'm not sire if she will be expelled, but should at least have suspension

She never did. neither in this chapter nor anywhere. she said Eiji may have grabbed her too hard hurting her hand but that was not a claim of assault or domestic violence as the rumors claims. She actually never did support the assault claims either and only repeated what she was told by Kondo without ever explicitly saying anything. She also followed Kondo's ruse to get the pictures taken and let rumors do their thing without knowing what kondo had planned to do with the picture until after it happened. Then everything blew up so much that she could no longer go against them for fear of the repercussions. She didn't find out it was worse to do that than stop it until way later either. She was hoping it would simply blow over and she could get back with Eiji, but Kondo had other plans to furthur break Eiji. She also didn't really regret her actions much at all when everything started falling apart and only broke when she realized she had lost Eiji. She realized too late that Eiji was truly the only thing that mattered to her and that she had sacrificed him for the shallow relationships and reputation she had.

I think everyone's forgotten that all of this started by Miyuki complaining to her friends that her relationship with Eiji hadn't "progressed" very much (which is a highly normal complaint for someone in their first relationship) and said best friend (I don't know her name) misunderstood her complaints and introduced her to Kondo for relationship advice. Kondo, who already has stated that he likes ruining people's lives (chapter 2), started to easily manipulate her because he was disgusted by Eiji and Miyuki's "pure" relationship.

My stance has always been that I'm not absolving Miyuki of her wrongdoing. By no means at all. She's a greedy coward. She wants to have all the fun of having a "mature" relationship (read - have sex) with Kondo while Eiji is on standby to marry when she's had her fun, and she wants to maintain her image and reputation.

HOWEVER, that being said, it's very clear from chapters 1 - 3 that Kondo has habitually done this to other girls, which means that the vast majority of the blame lies with him.

Heck, we can go back to chapter 1, pages 38 - 41 actively shows Kondo giving Miyuki the progression she wanted from Eiji. Yes, we can look at this whole situation through the framework that Miyuki should have known better, but, again, that's where we have to look at Miyuki's internal monologue "Unlike Eiji and Me, who were each other's first loves, [Kondo-senpai] had a much more mature view of relationships...I think I was the perfect mark..." (Chapter 1, pages 38 - 40). We can look at this internal monologue as future Miyuki looking back and realizing that she was manipulated. Which she was.

All of that to say that emotionally abused people (which Miyuki is), will almost always go back to their abuser. It's very plain to see when Kondo puts her on the spot to choose between him or Eiji, and the abuse started when Kondo casually implied that he wouldn't see Miyuki anymore after they had sex.

Miyuki: "Ah...um...That day is...His birthday."

This scene is where Miyuki folds because she's been emotionally manipulated for weeks by Kondo, and she's had sex with him multiple times. She was put into a vulnerable position, and because she's tragically in her first relationship, she doesn't know how to look out for the signs that she's being manipulated.

Then, like I said in a previous post, she then starts to double-, triple-, and quadruple- down on trying to keep both her reputation and Eiji.

I will push back on your metaphor of a cheeseburger. Kondo's manipulation of Miyuki is more like a puppet master. Kondo tied strings around Miyuki's arms, legs, and neck, so she would dance to his tune, and when she pushed back, he threatened to cut the strings, and because Miyuki's been so conditioned by Kondo, she willingly dances to the way he pulls her strings, even though she actively realizes that she's in the wrong.
