• Found out that Medis definitely likes him.
• Found out the queen's plan to get him married to one of the princesses.
• Found out that his cousin hasn't rejected the chance to marry him despite her previous "no incest" claims.
• Is giving serious thought to his feelings for Aria.
• Is making a very correct guess about Aria's true identity.

Had Akira been asleep during this chapter, it would have been filler with no relevance to the plot. But because he was awake, things can get interesting... if the writer doesn't chicken out.
