The knowledge of enbies colliding with the empty heads of weebs really is like water and oil. Or maybe more accurately matter and antimatter cause holy... shit this comments section is a worse dumpster fire than domestic girlfriend. It's not even a fire i want to continue reading, the sheer energy released from the burning from the dumpster is like making me temporarily blind forcing me to look away, like a nuke but the literally blinding light is not just rendering me permanently blind but also shooting holes throughout my body.

sees manga about trans people
rages
Your the laughing stock of the Japanese. They have had trans people in books and plays for hundreds of years and then silly westerners come in and seethe because it was politicized 5 years where in Japan being Trans is conservative

I'm on page 23/36 and he's already a pain in the ass. Would've gotten him out of there IMMEDIATELY. He wants people to understand him, but doesn't even try to explain things before he's yelling

Think about it in the kid's perspective, you can tell they likely have tried explaining it many times before. If you were an adolescent teen being constantly misunderstood its likely that instance was their last straw.

I remember reading this quite a while ago. At the time, I thought I was cis and never really understood non-binary people. I wasn't against them persay, I've always had the mindset of "if you don't understand or can't understand, then just shrug your shoulders and move on", but I always felt confused at the topic. Despite that, I still really liked this story, and the way it explored gender, how we wish to avoid it, and how it affects us despite it.

At the time, I never realized how rare this type of representation, real nonbinary representation was, in manga, and how unique this story is for playing around with that. Now here I am, several years later... and nonbinary. Turns out, a lot of what I didn't understand was because I thought those feelings of feeling not quite right as either gender... were normal, and struggled to understand them because I couldn't understand how they were different from me, because apparently, they weren't really, and it was me who was different from everyone else. And I'm excited to see how this revelation changes my view on this story.

One thing I learned from being enby is that people who hate on enbies literally nothing about the topic. The average transphobe couldn't tell you the difference between T and E, and that's the easier one to figure out. Nonbinary identites fall into advanced gender theory, something that is difficult to understand without doing research, and conceptually have been discussed for centuries, but aren't taught in most places. Those willing to do research will almost NEVER end up saying these sorts of hateful things, and the ones who do don't know anything about you. The average person here saying enbies are delusional can't even tell you the colors of the flag, let alone what we experience or how we think. Most people here haven't done research, they probably just ran into it through the crosssdressing tag or something, and had no intention of exploring a complex gender.

As such, I've stopped taking their things seriously. I think of them almost like children arguing about politics, they are just a group of people trying to have an opinion on a topic they know pretty much nothing about that they are echoing based off other things they've heard from other people. In fact, the lack of knowledge most people have towards non-binaries is kind of refreshing. I rarely experience any sort of bigotry because people have no clue what being nonbinary means, compared to my trans brothers and sisters who experience a ton of hatred simply for having a flag in the background.
