If this was a High School DxD-esque sex comedy, that may work, but from the first chapter this series picked a lane of being more down to earth in its dynamics, so it would be a wild pivot to just let the new girl off the hook with a slap on the wrist.



With that said, yeah I don't have any faith in their actually being any consequences. lol

Rapist and attempt rapist in real life and manga very rarely caught. In the case of later how many times have you seen manga where thugs try to take a woman to a alley or something and don't get reported, mostly it's used to white knight the MC discounting the fact those thugs will go out another day and do the same.

Lately there's been a lot of desensitizes of values and bastardise of words, so they have lost their value.

I got quite side tacked but as for this either way I plan to continue to read this series, though that girl should face some repercussions, not sure how severe, certainly don't want a certain other recent manga getting even that happened to nasty girl . Please keep it reasonable

If that's the case, it's doubly funny given that that one is a perfect example of insane awful rapists getting away with a slap on the wrist and the manga's whole tone shifting dramatically.

I've seen an unhinged conversation happening here so I won't respond to anyone in particular, but I'll say my piece.
I came her for a silly romance with a succubus, I was expecting stuff both wholesome and lewd.

The fact that someone is getting hit with the date rape drug and sexually assaulted as a means of pushing the succubus x human story isn't a surprise for me, and I expect the story to almost never acknowledge this incident again once it passes. Its wrong, and I'm not okay with it, but its a work of fiction so I'll bear with it and truck along.

What gets me is the fact that the story clearly established rules and laws that the succubi are NOT suppose to use their powers on the unwilling, and Rinku has been seen doing that by both the MC and Emu. If she gets away with it cause "she was just joking around," or because "my friend always acts like this" I'm going to feel like that laws that were explained actually meant nothing, and we are going by whatever the author thinks will generate more views.

Yeah since coming back from that camping trip and the ex gf abuse stopping it's been quite a train wreck. Sure she did bad things and should be punished with suspended or expulsion but takes it to far with the getting even that it resemblance healer hero x domestic girlfriend. To be fair here consequences wouldn't necessarily mean her getting arrested or anything (that's never happening to a female rapist in a manga) but rather Katou cutting ties with her.

Even if she doesn't face any legal repercussions, Katou just brushing it off and continuing to be friends with her like nothing happened is what I'm more worried about.

Honestly I blame crunchyroll for making japanese media more attractive to the masses, we ended up with newgens without an ounce of critical thinking. Also, I suppose, the literary highschool curriculum in most parts of the world is severely downgraded so they can't deal with nuance or shocking realities without, to put it succinctly, chimping out.
