Volume 2 of the novel was published on December 22, 2023. At that point, the manga had only one volume out. Volume 2 of the manga was published on January 18, 2024, Volume 3 on June 19, 2024, and Volume 4 on May 19, 2025.

So, despite the novel being canceled and the manga's sales being pretty mediocre, it's still going. Why it's still being published, and why it apparently intends to adapt all of Volume 2 of the novel, is one of the biggest mysteries surrounding this series. The other big mysteries are why the author thought this direction for the story was a good idea and why an editor gave it the green light.

I'm saying all this because, barring something completely unexpected, this manga is almost certainly going to adapt the entire second volume of the novel despite everything. Why? I don't know. Great chapter for once, but it's undermined by how obvious his reaction would be. Who cares? It's absolutely insane that Hanabi got blackmailed into prostitution because of it. Nobody would mock the guy who had a video of him as a kid being bullied, as I and many have said, anyone leaking it will be rightfully pointed out as a creep subjecting randos to a naked child pissing himself, like wtf.

But at least, I really liked how he saw clearly Hanabi's whole thought process, how even in her desire to atone, she couldn't help but exhibit the same flaws.

Though of course, out of the frying pan into the fire, Hasuike's thot 'gf' is stirring up some shit now. Still wild that the MC left Hasuike anywhere near her after the shit she pulled, hitting on his friend (after dumping him for another) while she claimed wanting to make up. Never fall for sunk cost fallacy my dudes, plenty of hot women that won't stab you literally or/and metaphorically.

The worst part of this arc is not just the shitty blackmail/rape shit, it's that fact that it's doing that while also juggling a stupid ass B plot(dumb bitch at work) and C plot(Haisuke and his bitch ex) and they expect you to care about any of it as it just shifts from one to another. It gives none of any of it any time to breath. There is so much going on at once and I have no idea why you'd vaguely care about any of it aside from the one big problem(if you could even vaguely bring yourself to care about the shitty Hanabi plotline).

I've never seen a series tank itself so completely. At least not without getting axed, ala Gal Cleaning.

Of course, I also agree that r*** was way too harsh of a "punishment," even though all of it happened because of her own actions. I think the MC should've shown at least some sympathy about it, although it wasn't really clear to me whether he even understood what had happened.

I don't see the reason to continue reading this manga. Even/If when the "bad" people get caught it wont be satisfying enough, because reading these last chapters where MC/Hanabi have been ABUSED, I just find it too off-puting.
