[Implemented] Comment Section

I'd like to suggest that the comment section of each chapter of any given manga should be at the end of it, under the last page, like it's usual with any animanga.

Having to be renditioned to a whole new page just to read/comment surely does not help with engagement. I personally gave up on commenting many times just because when you click comments a new tab opens...

I know it's quite a bit of work, but I have the feeling a lot of people feel the same way.

I don't think it's a good idea to do this, since a lot of people like to put spoilers in the comments. Would be an easy way to spoil yourself in your fav stories if the first thing you see when scrolling down is:
"SHE DIES NEXT CHAP BY THE WAY LOLOLOLOLOL "

Putting spoiler warning solves this very easily. Many websites have that where spoilers are blacked out and you gotta click then to reveal the comment. But yeah that surely can happen

How are we going to keep the casuals out if they don't have to work for it?

In all seriousness, the forum and the reader aren't really integrated yet - I'm sure one of the devs will be along to give a more specific answer soon™ - so until that's done, they exist (at least for practical purposes) as two different portions of the site.

This is a really interesting step if it’s properly implemented. Having comments tied directly to chapters could make discussions much more active and easier to follow compared to the old forum setup. Hopefully it still keeps the community feeling that MangaDex has always had.

Funny how all the dev work was wasted on this feature, how there was so much animosity from the users and how the devs really went through with it despite all the pushback - and in the end, absolutely nobody uses it. Maybe like 5% of new chapters have 1-3 quick comments, the rest are completely empty and all the discussion still happens on the forums (as god intended).

Exactly like everyone predicted and warned about.
