Yeah, that was also my thinking as well, since the name of the skill had "Puppet" in it. I thought that it was actively messing with his brain by some outside force that the skill originated from.

My premise that the spell is the source of the voice was wrong.

However, I do like this line of thinking of yours. Only ones who are susceptible to the voices are the ones who have been drunk with power, or THINK they are unstoppable. Since MC's brain is being wacked by the skill, his own self conscious is being distorted making him more battle hungry and more susceptible to the voice.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him power hungry monster but maybe there's a requirement for the voice, based on other works we could speculate about the dungeon being a system or monster that calls people, maybe it's power since Camilla seemed experienced.

I like this but maybe it expands to not just power alone. What if it's more of a 7 deadly sins ordeal. If your pride is off the charts or envy or gluttony. Because I think the gal from the dark guild is gluttonous for knowledge. Labyrinth probably plays on the more twisted sides of people's personalities.
