Yeah, I knew that Guildmaster had something up her sleeves. She showed that expensive mansion first, then the haunted one that's even bigger. She probably struggled to sell it cheaper, but now she got them hooked and raised price on it just for Miyabi lol.

Nah, she only works for proof anyway possible, even unconventional methods. She isn't like the Production Guild master, who only tried to cause issue so that he could maintain his status and power position.
She would likely stay around permanently now, because her being a Merchant Guild master means, MC would interact with her more than Blacksmith Guild master, as being a Crafter he would need materials more than outside help to create something (especially on a personal project).
MC is a Japanese person, aka., he would be clearly against illegal or random dumping, as that's the law in Japan.
I mean, there is a reason why thousands of old broken down houses are still standing in Japan that are either being sold for cheap or even given away for free, but no one is taking them, because dumping rules and cost is exponential in Japan.
Maybe she wants to possibly focus on expanding her Storage capacity.
By joining Merchant Guild, she might be planning to start a delivery business, where she takes products and deliver them between the route of the City and the Capital. That would allow her to earn money, as well as meet her family regularly and also expand her Storage capacity (since you have to input and extract items from the Storage as well as do Storage Management to make the skill level grow and expand the size; as mentioned in Ch.20).
She probably wants to focus on her Storage capacity now because she had seen Miyabi work, and majority of his work heavily rely on his insane Storage capacity. Aka., to succeed as a Crafter, you need a big Storage.

MC treats Liz more like her Uncle and doesn't have a single ounce of romantic feeling towards her (or any girl), for now.
Neither does Liz have any feeling for him, as she is laser focused on being an Adventurer and pursue her academic carrier.
