After looking closely at vol.8's cover, it has a lot more stuffs going on than I thought.
At first, I thought the siblings were having Dara-san casting spell remotely through the phone for some ritual.

But after looking closely, those siblings aren't even wearing miko's costume but just modern cloths with white-red color.
Plus with Kaoru holding a plastic model box and Dara-san appearing from portal, I assume they just called her to build that model together and only posing like that just to bamboozle reader.

I think it's apt, with the scenario being a bit goofy and all. You can even see the square tipped fingers. And I have no source for this but: supposedly the mangaka had a heart attack a decade ago and had to relearn how to draw with his left hand.

I'm glad how realistic the mom's reasoning is. The supernatural stuff aside all those things are something that would tip people off. Plus, the biggest of them all being that despite changing clothes and size Dara-san basically has the same face.
