So, seeing as wolf boy is 9 years old, and the reincarnation guy was VERY specific about people regaining their memories at 10 years.
Feels pretty freakin' obvious to me that he's the junior that tried to save her in her original life. Author even went out of their way to mention she had a junior with the same nickname.

Nobody else seems to be picking up this vibe (or at lead, and if I turn out to be wrong, I will accept my defeat with grace.

But after a year in-manga (well, probably a few months, actually) he's definitely gonna suddenly gonna get his memories back and immediately start putting it all together.

Yep it's pretty historically accurate for royalty to be huge shitheads so this isn't a big surprise, but I sure didn't see an ominous blonde haired prince lurking in the group shot at the beginning of chapter one so hopefully that means he's just another obstacle to her freedom that'll be overcome.
Hopefully Ed is a reincarnation of that guy from her previous life so that any of the age gap headaches can be sidestepped by them both being basically the same age as each other in body and spirit.
Also if Ed is another reincarnator then the "I want reincarnated people to be happy" guy is two out of two so far putting people into ill-fated child abuse situations in their brand new lives and locking any powers to help it behind ten years.

Soooo as creepy as the age gap is, I do think the prince kinda has a point here. The people LOVED Alanna with the one dude calling her something like a fairy princess. They truly cared for her, were devastated by her death, and then had to suffer under her “cruel“ husband. Of course they’d be thrilled if her daughter took over and of course they’d royal family wouldn’t want someone else marrying aria just to steal the land for themselves (considering how wildly important it is for national defense) so a prince taking on that role makes sense...even if this dude is way too into Aria’s mom
