NTR works tend to favor the gooning potential over any semblance of a story. I could probably count the amount of NTR sloppy doujin/manga that have any story worth reading on one hand.

Tsuriganesou's Ominaeshi Zenpen (but he never did the follow up and I hope it doesn't).
Don't get me wrong, it is NTR (well, BSS) and it grinds the gears. But also realistic (kinda) and well written, IMHO.

I would like to reiterate that the person who both wrote and illustrated the Karami Zakari manga version is Kei Miike sensei. Everything including characters changed or adding a new character like Akaneya, the ending, etc are her idea. The only reason Airi Katsura (sensei) has been named as the co-author because she hold the Karami Zakari license.

What AK did to this manga is approve what KM sensei shew her before drawing the manga (KM sensei also drew it). KM sensei said she did it to be her own version. So, what you read is KM sensei's idea, not AK (sensei) who just approve it or ask for a little bit change (we don't know). I'm confident AK (sensei) got some idea from KM sensei to use in Grapara such as a strict mom who work as a teacher. (We don't know Iida's mom in doujin version do for living as she didn't appear)

That's why you can't predict Grapara's ending by Karami Zakari manga version at all. Again, Karami Zakari manga version is NOT AK (sensei)'s idea, she just says "Yes" to KM sensei's idea and let him/her did it. To be fair, @diphuc1 , if you're not satisfied with the manga version, please blame KM sensei, not AK (sensei).

@jonasadan Iida in manga version stopped having sex with other guys since became the MC's girlfriend because KM sensei changed her to be just a normal girl with family problem background. But Iida in doujin is sicked, nymophenia, she told the MC she's not satisfied with her boyfriend (in college) so she dated strangers on the Internet and had sex with them (cheating). Iida in doujin is AK (sensei)'s idea. So, the character reflects its creator, doesn't it? So sad.

Solid writeup. Apart from Akaneya treatment, the manga as a whole was fine, it translated well from the og source and had a fine twist in the end.

The only thing is that Airi did not write the manga, she only did the doujinshi. It was Kei Oike (Miike) who changed the original story of doujinshi (in the manga version) and did the illustration, and those changes were just approved by Airi. In her recent interview, she says that she let people do whatever they wanted with karamizakari and gave then creative freedom.
So, if you are hopeful because the manga version had a "good" ending then you are basically setting yourself up for disappointment since Airi had nothing to do with the story of the manga. She only had her name as she was the original creator of the story (the doujinshi). Someone also pointed this out previously here.

I was suprised with "I tried living with a goddess for a year" it was a nice read there.That made me wonder what happen in all of thoses years to Airi lost her touch for stories like that one?

Just a few thoughts sparked from comments i read while catching up...

fuccboi is no saint. He might not be a full fledged villain but he is definitely no saint. Let me repeat myself: a saint doesn't take advantage of a girl who is spiraling. A saint would just be with her, talk to her, hold her if she so much wants it, but would not make a move. He did and the author made a point of showing him dunk into Sakura while the phone is ringing and she's calling out Shinobu's name. That was a the very, very least profoundly selfish.

I do agree with KA that Karami Zakari isn't a NTR work. Is it really NTR when Kousei just wants to see Iida defiled? That even when he could date her (in the manga version) he prefers to simply carry on listening to her (fictional) antics?

I really do not see Grapara having more NTR-ish scenes or even baits unless KA is lost and has no idea what to do. If the baits re-start now with Fumi, readers will assume that eventually what happened to Sakura will happen to her and Grapara completely becomes NTR. I bet less people would bother writing hate posts and would simply move on from the work.

I don't think it's really worth it trying to read any foreshadowing or clues in the work. Anything can happen and all potential clues are vague and can be applied to many scenarios. I do think it's weird that none of the chapters have a single reference to what kind of relationship Sakura has with fuccboi when KA showed a couple of situations where that knowledge would surface.

What I would say is that KA will try to do a big "fuck you" to her paying customers by given them something they want but coupled with something they don't. A good ending with an asterisk. And basically I'm just curious about what that will be and the fallout from it.

Her first manga ended in 2013 and Karami Zakari doujin started in 2018. There were 5 years gap that we didn't know what she did, may be underground doujin under nickname ?

What I do know, if you've done something repeatly for a long time, it will become you. For example, making a stupid manga and no character's depth for 5 years, you'll absorb stupidity of your work without knowing till it becomes you now.

It's also reflected in Karami Zakari doujin version that there is no character's depth, we don't know their background problem and don't know their attitude or what they think. So sad, the author of "I Tried Living With A Goddess For A Year" has disappeared already. It was 13 years ago since that manga ended. Pal, 13 years !

I mean....possible ending I can't say chances are zero there. We know Sakura has a complicated family history with cheating though so that makes it unlikely. Sakura's a stupid girl right now, but not nympho levels yet.

With you there, when you make a mistake, learn from it and do better. I believe KA is trying to from that one weird X repost, instead of doubling down like everyone fears, but we'll see more in 134 before I get too hopeful on that end.
