I've read what others have spoiled regarding what happens, and honestly Kondo didn't even get half of what he honestly deserved.

He did end up in juvenile prison, lost his scholarship and his dad got exposed for corruption. There's pretty nothing left for him at this point unless Miyuki runs back to him in the future.

I'd say that's pretty well deserved. Despite what he did, he is still a minor so there are limits to the punishment that he can get and that's the most unfortunate thing here. Even though he is written to be the prime villain here, the story wants to give more emphasis on Miyuki's losses, hence the title.

Its been about a week since Miyuki was caught cheating. The bullying and rumors was happening for a day or two before Eiji's meeting with Ai on the rooftop. Its the second day since then.

we speed running the relationship, which I know it's weird but so many stuff happening makes it a little more believable (like she's seeing him as a savior at the moment, she probably also forcing herself to not break)

Sometimes its not about how long you've been with or know a person but about how impactful they are in your time of need. It'll be awhile longer till they actually get together though

Well, your intuition isn't that far off. It doesn't directly involve Miyuki and Kondo right away, but if the manga continues to follow the light novel, then the next scene will involve Eiji telling his mother about the bullying issue and everything else that's happened beyond just the cheating. They have a really heartwarming discussion and he collapses into bed to finally rest... but this lights a nuclear fire in his mother's heart. She basically declares war on Miyuki and will not stop until the perpetrators who hurt her son are brought to justice. Of major note, this means she refuses all offers to quietly dismiss the issue, and she seeks the full amount of reparations permissible by law, which is a major factor in Kondo's ultimate ruin.


It's been two days since Eiji and Ai met on the rooftop. Eiji discovering Miyuki's cheating happened a few days before that, with enough time for rumors to spread and the bullying to occur. So it's probably been about a week in total story time.

This story is very refreshing to see, because a lot of these revenge series are basically "Women Bad and Bad Woman hurt me but there's a Good Woman who saves me and bad luck happens to Bad Woman". Meanwhile we have MC slowly processing all the hurt that has come his way (as one would) and adults responsibly stepping in to provide support as they ought to. There isn't some kind of convenient powerful acquaintance whom he helped a long time ago, just a support network of friends and family who were there from the start, and strangers with a strong sense of justice and duty of care.

Girlie falling for him is also done pretty well; not unlike in Aobuta, sometimes being simply in the right place at the right time can be the catalyst for the two to get together and as the two care for each other things will go well for them.

Mother of the century award here. We need more mothers like her who will stop at nothing to get justice for their baby boys and girls.

I get you and the MC, it is very hard to be open and show your heart to others in this modern world that only expect your best at everything. We need more characters who are compassionate as her and actually have political/economic power to do some positive changes.

In short, we need more of Ai and less of Elon Musks.
