curious that you never specify the weights used in your exercises.

Because I'm weak, some days weaker than others. So I focus on progressive overloading by increase the weights every set. Somedays I'm starting deadlifts with 45 on each side and then end with 2 45s on each side. Other days I start with 25s on each side and end with 45s and 2 15s on each side.

i think you're referring to pyramid sets rather than progressive overload. progressive overload happens over time from muscle growth, it's not something that's done in one workout session. regardless it sounds like you're doing well with it.

i personally do reverse pyramid sets (e.g. starting an exercise with a 30lb dumbbell until failure, then moving down to a 20lb until failure, then 15lb). my ultimate goal is to become strong enough to rule the world.

I've read people refer to it as progressive overload but pyramid set makes much more sense

I used to do those and refer to those as "burnouts". Might start doing those again since you brought it up, thanks.

You were talking in pounds?! That's not real exercise, pounds are a unit for fantasy games. Right @Angry_Panda ?

Weightlifting in a museum sounds... impractical.
Well, some people get paid for weighlifting in museums... like "this collection must be moved there, put on your gloves and do it in pairs", or "we were required to move the following works to X museum, prepare them for transport and then unload them there".

And given you have so much more history there than we do here, I would guess that's kind of your equivalent of working at a fast food place.

I forgot to do this lol. I literally remember on my last set of bicep curls I was like oh wait tiddy reminded me of burnouts. :wooow:

do you actually get a burn from doing this? i've tried many times but could never manage one, and have since switched to doing weighted side plank dips. and sometimes a variation of weighted side bends (where i'm leaning forward/backward a bit) that only really works the external obliques

I don't get a burn but I do feel it later/next day from it being used.

Box jumps and set ups (balance on 1 leg when going up the box) 3 sets
